Shadowice Zaunduil to Glace Neige
January 11 ·
Centuries have passed since she last exited her secluded Ice Cavern. The lands were peaceful, the Eitherym no longer needed to maintain peace between the land and the dwellers that resided upon it; nay, there was truthfully no need for the Ice Dragon to be awakened.
Remaining hidden, the deep blue and black hued dragoness awaited for when she would need to break her slumber once more, her golden eyes flickering under the lids of her closed snake-lids, the dim light eerie in the otherwise absolute darkness. The rest was much needed, much wanted, and greatly appreciated. After all, she had spent many a millennia fighting against foes that would destroy the balance and harmonies of the elements - and the very cycle of life itself.
A stone pulsates close to her, the light of the shimmering ice crystal glowing stronger. It appeared as though her time to awaken was nigh; darkness was falling once more on a far away kingdom that she did not know. Alas, a battle was, indeed, a battle, and it was truly her calling to be the harbinger of the protection of the element of Ice.
The truth be told, however, the one who needed her assistance must first brave themselves through the frozen lands, manage themselves through the cavern's many mazes of which caused many of the smartest in the lands conundrums, and finally, convince the dragon of the truth of their hearts in protecting the peace of the Lands.
Awaiting for the visitor to come, she curls her tail closer to herself, her behemoth figure seeming almost crystalline in the pale, wintry glow.
Come, young one. Battle for her trust as you will.

Glace Neige
Glace Neige The prince having searched for the legendary cave that had seemingly called to him not in a physical sense but rather one of spirit. Something becoming the prince to come. Even so much as to change his dreams at night which never happened. Ever. It had always been the same for the prince, A towering creature looming over to speak to the prince but words left unsaid for he could never remember what was ever being spoken to him. But now with the new dream, it was rather one of a gentle breeze of snow within a forest covered by the element but as the forest would blow it would slowly turn into a place of ice and cold, illuminated by soft golden lights. As if his own element was calling him to the place he wasn't exactly sure existed but the wonder drove him. Words being spoken to his ear be an unknown source but he could feel it... The tremendous strength hidden behind the words, but also the kindness and seek of truth. All of which he was unsure of and in the first night of having this dream, the prince awoke in a shiver, hands shaking fear gripping his heart at the abnormality but it was also invigorating. Knowing that something... Someone, held such strength yet kind of heart.
Slowly beginning to search for this place of hidden strength, of hidden truth. Of protection. Searching for rumors of a forest or a cave that held some kind of mystery, having been told some lies by those he'd asked before finally hearing of a place countless others had tried and failed to enter, though the closest one ever got before having to go back had told of a faint golden light. The knowledge giving the prince further dedication in his search of this place that could change the prince's ever consistent dreams.
Days spent traveling through the storm, though being able to cheat and keep his clothes dry by bending the snow and ice to his whim, being able to walk through it without a single snowflake touching him. Soon arriving at the cave of his dreams, wonder as to why a forest would be shown to him but nonetheless he had found it, now all that was left was to walk and get past these traps, though it would most likely be easy for someone that could creature creatures to do his bidding, walk ahead of him etc. But what laid at the end of this cave gave curiosity a good pull,. Leaving Glace's peaked.

Shadowice Zaunduil The winter snow grew more difficult to manage the closer he gets to the mouth of the dragon's secret cave. Whilst it might not be cold, or as threatening to the Lord of Ice as it were to outsiders, it could possibly still be enough to hamper his vision, perhaps even causing stress for those creatures that he would summon to his side.
Dreams.. The world was filled with countless, wondrous phenomenon, and the thin veil between awakening and sleeping was indeed one of the most powerful. Mayhap the giant dwelling forever hidden was the one who was sending out the message, the plead for bringing her back to the world she once loved more than anything else. Mayhap it was his Element, begging him to learn the ancient magicks and techniques of the Ancient. Who knows? It might even be the boy himself, his soul longing for something that was yet to truly be known, truly to be seen.
Soft whispers fill the cavern where she remains in her deep slumber, the voices of the Fallen dancing along the cracks of the walls, the ceiling, the very bottoms of the icy floors. The whispers disperse, heading to various areas of the cave, some of them passage ways to sudden death, some to peaceful chambers, and still others towards various battles that would truly question the worth of the blade carried by the youth.
Which direction would he pick? There were many to choose. Down along the side of the cave towards a back entrance. Another scaling a small amount of the side and crawling into a hidden space behind a pine tree. There was even several going straight through the mouth of the cave, veering off into different directions as the boy would see fit.
A wing twitches as she feels the Chosen One come closer; but alas, now was not the time to come for him. He still had much to do, much to learn, and much to offer. No, ShadowIce..
The voice can only be heard currently in her sleep.

Glace Neige The prince would but close his eyes, the marking upon his back giving off a faint glow of blue. The prince's mind traveling back to the dream, his mind and body slowly slipping till a point of unconsciousness would take hold yet he would not fall. His body would walk at a slow pace, following out the call that drove him, what called him he had no idea but the call was of peace. Was of his element. And that was something that would drive him forward, his body and soul returning the call with his own, giving word that even if he had much to do, he would not back down. He would seek the the one that called out, the boy or rather man's determination filled him. To seek out the one that could so much as change the one thing that remained in stasis, for ever unchanging. The need to know how onc could do such a thing burdened him mind, the ever growing desire to seek out this thing or creature that could call out in such a manner. A deep... Well not fire for obvious reasons but something burned within the prince to find this creature even so much as to allow him to seek them out through his connection in his dreams.
" Creature, whatever you may be, know that you may not hide behind these traps, I shall walk through then, freeze them, whatever it takes. I will find you. " His physical body spoke. Slight curiosity if whatever called him could even hear what he said but over all cared little, it would not stop him. from moving forward. His desire would lead him straight down his path, even should danger walk upon the path called destiny, he would shatter it, break it with his own two hands and move forward. That was an unchanging fact about the prince.
His direction would be but the only one his soul could go. The one that lead him to his desire, using the connection formed between them as a guide line for where to go, finding a connection between minds a clear thing to follow.

Shadowice Zaunduil Alas, even the proper paths hold within them dangers, questions of truths, answers of secrets that would be dancing along with them, all ideals that would either assist him in finding and speaking to the Shadow of Ice... or that would end up getting him either killed or kicked out of her home. She would not be interested in assisting those she could not trust.. thus, this was a simple means of that assistance.
The door was blocked, huge marbles of flame and ice swirling to stop anyone from escaping. The flames were for the Dragon Elder known as Nixeu, the protector of Fire and Guardian of Peace.
"Speak to me thine wish," a deep rumble spoke from the flames. "For what doth thou wishest to enter within the deep?"

Glace Neige The prince would not stop even if danger showed itself. The prince showed no fear of fire in fact he had been born around fire, trained by those of fire. It scared him not, only reminded him of which he had to protect.
" I wish to speak to the creature that lies within this cave that has shouted for me through my dreams, I need to know what it is that speaks to me within this cave. " The prince would give sign as to what he came bearing, allowing his ice to form over ready to break through the door in search of the knowledge he sought. " You may be flames blocking my path to this but I will bring to to ash should you continue to do so. "

Shadowice Zaunduil The flames grew stronger, only to disappear into a soft sprinkling of diamond powder that danced down upon the wind. "Thine quest is proven pure, Warrior of Ice. Should thee have meant ill towards the one dwelling in this cave, thou wouldst been buried along with the darkness inside this room. Gather this dust and continue thine mission. Godspeed towards thee."
If Glace looked closer to the powder, he would realize that it was shimmering - not only with the floating light of the cave, but also with its own light - its own power that only it contained. It would definitely be useful for later on down the path.
Nixeu's Guardian Spirit appeased, the remainder of the flames died down, leading Glace into a more bright area, one where the filtered light spread out, flickering through... ice flowers?
Welcome to the next Guardian, Glace. What will you do in this room?

Glace Neige As little as he thought he'd need it, he allowed a chilled wind to blow up the dust, making a bag of ice to hold it within. Continuing down the path, the shine upon his back growing stronger as he walked. His connections allowing it to light up the closer he got to the one that had sent him new dreams.
Wandering into the next room, unsure of what would be next but cared little with his curiosity flowing fast and true.
Gazing around the new room, wonder at what the next challenge would be.

Shadowice Zaunduil The Ice Flowers appeared to bloom more as the Ice Child stepped through them. On the opposite wall, a mirror was balanced - a mirror that seemed to completely encompass the entire next field. It was viewable through the object itself, but it was completely sealed shut, not allowing Glace to enter.
"These flowers need care for a small while," a gentle voice spoke. It was the Earth Dragon, a man by the name of Irokuhin. "Child, they need you to ensure they survive. One wrong move could cost them their lives; and that will halt your journey where you stand."

Glace Neige The prince but rolled his eyes, now growing agitated at the tasks, wanting to get to the one that spoke to him already. Clenching his fist before releasing it as a way of calming himself. Speaking to the voice that had told him as to the challenge. " I will not garden flowers, that is not something I have time for. " Though giving a a shot at he allowed his strength to flow, beginning to walk above the flowers though spreading his touch against the tops, finding the task rather tedious but if she wanted him to make the flowers bloom without stepping on them, then he would try. Though this may be considered a more cheating way of doing it.

Shadowice Zaunduil The tasks were there for a purpose, and that purpose would be for him to figure out later on. The creature dwelling within the caves was exceptionally powerful, and that beast was not one who could give her energies to someone who was not positive and kind. If he wished to find the one calling for him, seeking him, pulling him towards her, he would have to deal with the tasks in the manner that he gets.
"Child, they need you to ensure they survive. One wrong move could cost them their lives; and that will halt your journey where you stand," the male voice of Iro calls out again, his words being repeated. They were not meant in a means of mocking, although it was possible for Glace to take them in such a way.
Any means of growing the flowers and walking by without destroying them is what he needs to do. There is no right or wrong.

Glace Neige The prince walking above the flowers, his ice formed over top, sprinkling them with powder from his ice, not the one previously collected but one created himself. Giving air to the hopefully blossoming flowers, beauty they did hold. Something rather rare for the prince to admire in flowers, he more so enjoyed the sight of a snow covered forest in peace.
Minding little of words being repeated, thinking only of his place of peace one of the many places he found peace in nature. That of a forest or atop a mountain so that he may view it's beauty in silence. With but an icy breath he would give air to all of the flowers, supply each with a small breath of his own strength.

Shadowice Zaunduil Something in the air stops him however when he gets to around half way through the field. It is almost as though he is being forced back to the ground, stuck in the middle of the lonely flowers. There is no easy means to get past this puzzle; there is no right nor wrong way; however, the easy way is not always the best way for creatures such as these.
With as much life as he appears to give to the initial flowers, the flowers further on down the field seem to be losing their own.
"Everything is connected, small one. What one gets, the other loses. This is the power of Equivalent Exchange. This is the power of losing balance and patience."

Glace Neige The prince would think on the topic after being dragged down, making sure as to not directly step on a flower giving though, Thoughts on how he was somehow making them blossom without killing a single one.
A breath of air once more, not to give them strength but to find out paths that had little to no flowers atop them, and possibly sources for his strength, he would not allow these flowers to die, while they may not have had sentience, he would protect the lives of the element he held within him. And these flowers obviously bore atop them ice, therefore making them connected to him even if only slightly.
Giving way for that connection. If he was to grow these flowers, he would first find a way to connect them all.
Taking a breath before gather his connection with the element of ice, spreading out his ability to each flower that had ice covering it, almost every flower, while tasking it was not impossible for the prince to do with a little time, giving his time and energy towards connecting with each piece of snow or ice within the room, beginning to sink into the flowers, making sure to leave none untouched this time. Making no movements to make quick movements to control the flowers but rather to slowly move grasp them in the hopes of giving the flowers nutrition, feeling the source of water near by, beginning to take nutrients from, feeding it to each of the the flowers, a thought occurring as to his previous action of giving more of nutrients towards those that were weaker and less to those that he had given strength in hopes of keeping this so called 'balance' that the mysterious thing kept speaking of, having to calm nerves at the fact that someone of his caliber was unable to pass this test as easy as the last.

Shadowice Zaunduil
Shadowice Zaunduil The wilting flowers in the far off expanses will slowly start lifting their heads again as the balance began to take over the entire encampment. The more he ushered, the more breath of life the flowers gave. Now, this left a small issue; should Glace disappear, how would the flowers continue to grow?
If he looks closer to his feet, he will notice that crisscrossing the fields and underneath the unbeaten paths, there are irrigation channels, channels that could carry the life's breath of the Crystal River straight to them on a constant basis. This being stated, it was clear that there was no water running through those pipes, or else the garden would not have needed assistance in the first place.
Further to the south, he will notice a tool shed close to the river he was drawing power from. On the far east side, opposite the river running in the west, there were four individual pumps, each with a specific code for running. None of the irrigation pumps are on, each one completely unplugged.
There is a valve nozzle in the toolshed as well, one that will greatly assist in starting to spread the water to the rest of the field. Simply remember, child, that balance and patience must be kept in order to close the remainder of this mystery.

Glace Neige The prince would take a break, having exhausted energy in trying to grow the flowers. Now looking around, notice of the shed being taken in. All of this seemingly becoming more and more tedious, finding it rather inconveniencing yet at the same time interesting. Not allot could challenge the prince in such a manner and if this was only the second of the tasks, what would the others be like? A newly invigorated prince taking a breath before walking towards the shed, Going to pull open the door, having to use his abilities to float over the flowers, since he was seemingly not allowed to go past the middle of the room but he seemed to have no problem floating over his half of the room.
This task was tedious but also a lesson for him. Patience and balance was always important. One could not stand atop a lake of ice without taking time to be cautious as to the ice's thickness and movement.

Shadowice Zaunduil Inside the tool, the valve nozzle seemed to be weathered away, hidden in the earth. There were, however, small puzzles in the archives hidden on the walls, each one with a special piece behind it.
If he looked closely, he would be able to see symbols of his people written in the numbers. All he has to do is solve a simple riddle in order to get to each fragment.

Glace Neige A brow would raise at the fact that the symbols were in his language. Wonder at how this place would have his symbols astounded the prince. Gazing upon the riddle, wonder on what exactly it said.
Digits coming up to be placed upon his chin, the points resting upon his lip. Sky blue hues examining the valve, thoughts on what would have to be done within this 'test' that somehow was placed upon him. Curiosity as to if the work was worth the reward, the dragon must have been incredibly strong for tests of this caliber to be placed up to guard it.

Shadowice Zaunduil The digits were glowing, seeming to have a certain.. order.. they needed to go in. Which way would it be, was indeed the question.
Each of the dials had one number the same - the power of the number 7 . The remainder however, were all different. The first dial was odd numbers, 1-9. The second was prime numbers. The third was 1-7 forward, and the rest were 9-2 backward.
Now, all he had to do was find a simple answer for this four digit code - would the boy be able to do so?

Glace Neige Gaze towards the dials, examining them, thinking for a couple minutes upon the riddle. Unsure of it's answer or even how to play the game. Having to rely upon the knowledge bestowed upon him by his mentor and grandfather Aag.
A guess by the prince with the code, starting off with .5. 3.7.7. Looking at the first dial, unsure of what to turn it's dial to.
A hand raising to grip his chin. " This is a strange riddle...

Shadowice Zaunduil The numbers were correct; the 5, 3, 7, 7, that is. Unfortunately, the order was incorrect. There were no sounds from the pumps that would begin powering the machines on the opposite end of the field, and there were also no movement in the mechanical device that held the valve nozzle.

Shadowice Zaunduil There will be no sound save for the last seven being clicked into place. That means that the last digit was in its proper place, although the rest were still in the incorrect position. If he remembered the order of the first dial, the 7 was at the very front - maybe that would give him a hint.

Putting the seven in first to make the order 7, 5, 3, not leaving the fourth dial alone. Keeping the last one 7

Shadowice Zaunduil There is a click and a whirring sound, each of the locks around the symbols slowly starting to release with a hydraulic sound from the lock system that had been placed upon it. Now, all he had to do was take the symbols and attach them to their corresponding machine on the opposite side of the flower fields, return and place the extra piece to the river, and set everything to running properly.
He was close to solving the puzzle and being able to go one step closer to the sleeping dragon hiding even deeper within the cave. Would he be able to manage it, or would his impatience end up being his undoing?

While feeling frustrated, he took a deep breath. Wanting to just come to an end of this dumb puzzle. Even if it reminded him of a forest, it was still annoying him rather significantly.
Floating down towards an object he took notice to, after a while of searching. Going to the machine. " What is this thing? " Going to further examine it.

If he looked closer to the machine, one the left were each of the symbol-plaques that he should have taken from the shed. Each of the plaques had different shapes, almost like a puzzle. This time, however, the puzzle was simple - place the correct piece into the correct slot. Pressing on the object would send the energy rushing from the machine, causing it to turn on in order to start sending the water through the irrigation channels throughout the remainder of the field.
Well, if he realized that the last piece of the puzzle was still in the shed.

Shadowice Zaunduil These were his trials, after all. The trials he had to go through in order to reach the creature dwelling into the cave. If he had already been deemed worthy enough, the boy would have already have been summoned to the dragon within; then again, it was never that easy for outsiders to be allowed to see one of the great Elemental Eitherym holders. They were dragons of immense power, of ageless wisdom. If he believes that he deserves the right to see her without even attempting to learn his lessons, he had the right to simply turn around and leave this realm in failure.
"Patience, you should have, young one. Should you not, you will destroy that which you claim closest to you."
There was nothing else to be done, save take the pieces and place them where they needed to go. The next step would be to take the master piece further within the crawlspace to the north and place the piping in the river and through the channel so the machines could soak up the water to equally feed the flowers.

At noon-high, the sun will be beating down upon him and the surrounding land, the humid, sweltering heat causing a rise in temperature - and of the mirages that are dancing around the sand dunes to the south.

" But what is your test. I will pass it as I have the rest " A rather proud spoken prince. Even with the difficulty, he pride and determination stood strong. Gazing around the room, wonder as to what would be his task, though the beaming heat making a hand come up to loosen the warm clothing he had been wearing to get to the icy cave. For a cave of his element, it was rather hot. First a door of flame then field of icy flowers, now a beach? Such things were strange for a cave. The beings in here must have wield an unimaginable strength. At least thoughts taht passed though the prince's mind.

If he looked closely, he would see a serpentine head peering out of the far waters towards him, Lucianna's blue orbs seeming to gaze into his soul.
"My test is one I am not certain you shall enjoy, especially if you ended up faltering with my brethren." She tilted her head slightly, the water dragon seeming to come closer. "Tell me; do you know what my element of water stands for?"

Glace Neige " Thank you. " Saying as he could feel more comfortable with the calm breeze of dusk. Orbs having to focus in order to see any kind of figure within the water, in trying to find his test, he had been searching. Gazing upon the head as it raised from the water.
" No I do not, But I feel like you will tell me. And I simply had difficulty understanding a riddle never spoken, but I now understand it and appreciate it's beauty. The first test seemed no problem, simply speaking my mind. " Being truthful with the figure in the water. " So what exactly is it if? " A brow raised with the question spoke. Each puzzle seeming to have some deeper meaning behind it's test. Each one while not knowingly, helping the prince grow as both a ruler and a being himself.

Shadowice Zaunduil
Shadowice Zaunduil "Of course, young fledgling," the voice stated again. She continued to watch him from her deep, briny abyss, ducking underneath the waves once more to hide herself from view. There was still much to be done, and he spotting her would make this test even more difficult. Instead of a voice coming from the outside, now, it seemed to have been given telepathically, entered into his own mind.
*Fledgling, the water is ever changing, forever flowing. It can remain stagnant for a period of time and suddenly corrode itself, or it can continue to flow into a gentle force. At the same time it can water and mend a crop, it can also grow into a disastrous being, trashing everything around it and destroying lives.*
She stopped speaking for a moment, the earth beginning to rumble underneath him, the feels of an earthquake that will stop a few moments later.
*I have prepared for you a small obstacle course. It will be up to you whether you shall pass or fail. Water is representative of intelligence and wisdom; the ability or inability to follow through with a goal. You must pass this test in order to truly master the harmony of the water within yourself.*
Pausing again, she gives a heedy sigh.
*I will warn you ahead of time... should you prove unable to do this, your life could be the forfeit.*

Glace Neige While he had seen the head, he'd not spoken a word or even so much as giving it but a single thought as something watching his test be it the test giver or the one to lead him to this place. " What is the challenge already, I will not leave a test with my tail between my legs. That is not how a prince should carry themselves. "
" As for your element, need be. It shall freeze before my might. I will not allow any waves to stumble upon my path. It may not be straight but I will continue on of my own. So give me the test but if you may, be better than your brother and explain it beforehand. " Ready for anything she may throw at him. Or at least building up enough courage to face the test head on with wits at the ready. Somewhat expecting a quiz of sorts as for his knowledge, though that would come at a disadvantage for him, having not grown up in this particular world.

Shadowice Zaunduil
Shadowice Zaunduil The Dragoness shook her head underneath the brine, her scales seeming to illuminate more than what was already being done in the luminescent cavern. There will be no more words from her; after all, the boy could attempt to crush the waves that would be coming for him, but instead, they shall be the ebbing of his own mind that should cause him to shatter into pieces himself. Already, it seemed as though he was already facing a crisis within himself; one of possible stagnation. And it was her job to snap the child out of it.
The Earth will rumble once again, the waves starting to grow more wild with the crash and twists of the oncoming storm. Clouds reached high into the atmosphere, the darkness of them showing a definite negative turn of events. The winds will rise to gusts of over 120 knots per hour, enough to destroy any ship at the sea.
If he peered closely, there will be a cave amidst the shadows that starts to light up, seeming to beckon him towards it. Lightning will begin forking through the sky as the cave is brought into the lights' eye, some of the brilliant energy hitting the water surrounding the cavern, tiny sparks flying from the very water itself.
Salt and water both conduces electrifying shock exceptionally well. Between the storming winds, the crashing waves, the shocking electricity... What was he to do?

Glace Neige Gazing around, trying to find the way to the next door or a puzzle of some kind. This element supposedly being of intelligence would require him to hopefully use his own. Gazing around, trying to find what he could through the horrific storm, his gaze moving the shadows, trying to find something within it in hopes of cover. Seeing as using strength to out push this creature within the water was most likely a bad idea.
He had very little idea of what was going on within the test but the cave within the cave, however ironic it was, seemed to be a smart plan. Rushing towards the place that shimmered, rushing forward. Freezing some of the water that would come close to him, as to avoid getting overly drenched and having to get his clothes cleaned. Trying to see through that the shadows Using that small light as his guide, seeing no other way to go but back and with going back being the morally wrong way, towards the cave he went, dismissing himself from the strange situation of sudden storm.
Heading to the entrance of the cave, a brow raised, wondering if there was a trap or something of the sort there and he'd been lead astray or if this was his intended destination.

Shadowice Zaunduil
Shadowice Zaunduil Within the cavern will be two paths. One heads further down into the cave while the other seems to slope upwards towards the top of the supposed mountain that the cave had been hidden in.
The storm raged harder as he enters within the confines, the sounds seeming to circulate even more so at the branch of two paths. Which one would he end up taking was the next test.
Should he listen closely, he will hear a strange whirring sound going deeper within the cave, the crashing and subsiding of waves also being some of the main noises escaping from the deep. Nothing else is known from the path itself, only that it is rocky and ill used.
If he peers his gaze and ears towards the upwards path, it is smooth. Many a foot had traveled up towards that peak, and very few feet seemed to have made it back. A sound that seems to be of a creaking variety is heard from above the ceiling, the mineral deposits seeming to slowly reach down further and further.
There was nothing yet that could be identified as a trap; it seems the only thing he can do is pick a path and stick to it.

Glace Neige With a sigh, another annoying trap with no explanation. To pick a simple path, up or down. Yet he'd hope that he'd chosen right, yet it would be quite clear what would happen here. With the footprints and look of the cave, there would most likely be a cliche bolder tumbling atop him. Yet going down would lead further towards the element of the challenge. Water.
" As much as I'm fond of going to water, I wish to speak with this tester some more.. " Deciding to take the path up, preparing his own abilities in case water should crash or something should attack him, such as the bolder he'd predicted. Thoughts running through as to what he'd seen before, preparing one of his abilities, to change his body to mist, so a bolder wouldn't cause as much damage to him as it would to a tangible body.

Shadowice Zaunduil
Shadowice Zaunduil Instead of a boulder, which the boy seemed to be so likened to viewing, the temperatures only began to grow hotter, and colder, fluctuating between the two temperatures. Should he turn to mist, he would either be completely baked, or become completely frozen. That idea would be a foolish idea indeed.
A rumbling underneath his feet will harken to him of things that should not be. It appears as though climbing up through the upper most chambers have led him into an infested area, an area to which he must fight to the death.
Soldiers appeared out of the earth, not sunken, dried up zombies, but fullfledged warriors that lived in the caverns, warriors that remained underground unless they felt their home threatened. Taking up arms, each of them will be forcing themselves into a tight circle around the youth, each shouting at him in a garbled language.

Glace Neige
Glace Neige With a loud sigh the prince drew his shortsword. The blade he'd wished to save for later for within it had his contracted beast. A mythical beast of earth that Glace had seal within. So as the soldiers would would attack, Glace would thrust his blade into the ground. Spreading his ice into it's cracks. Spreading to impale them, either through the side or straight through the center. Each a icicle shaped much like a spear.
But the soldier closest to him would not be impaled, it would be a skull of a wolf to come up and devour them whole, eating the creature, destroying each bone within it's body. Even if regeneration was possible, the breast was hungry for bones so any within would be stolen. The same fate would follow the others if they were unable to stop him. But the prince had his own defense as well, even with the blazing heat it was only beneficial to him. For if he melted his ice within the air, he could freeze it faster than he could with the cold. For as he'd learned on earth. Hot water freezes quicker than cold.

Ōku Nomoji The beasts, however, were not so simple to destroy. Bones could separate, turning into weapons themselves; no one ever stated that one had to be completely together in order to cause damage.. None ever stated that victory was gained all at once by going full on into an opponent. No; as a matter of fact, one of the best means of dealing with danger was simply through teamwork, stealth, and secrecy.
From the ground which he stood, his defenses open towards defeating the remainder of the horde, mauls of darkness would open wide, energy pulsating through the very earth, shattering whatever ice was coming forward, destroying whatever balance the man could have possibly have retrieved.
There was much that could be desired, much that could have been seen if only.. if only the boy would have been cast to the different path. Would he remain and fight, or would he attempt to retreat?

Glace Neige { ɪᴄᴇ'ᴤ ᴇɴᴠᴏʏ }
Thrown off by the sudden shake of the ground that threaten to throw the prince off balance along with the soldiers that did not seem to die by impalement. So for now, attempt at retreat, using his sword in the ground along with ice lifting him up to jump over the soldiers pillars of ice formed, even if they shook along with the ground, they gave better support than the harsh earth, forming to his foot to give proper lift to jump, ice that had impaled warriors spiking outwards, attempting to create a prison of ice for the creatures to remain while the prince ran. Even with the bizarre tempeture changes, the prince would still try to rush through. He was not intending to fight creatures that did not deserve it. Even if he'd already impaled them, which he'd probably regret. Though a preparation of if any warriors were behind the initial group of impaled, the pillars sending thin icicle like shards to shoot. Be it the skull or anywhere, the prince still refuse to lose these tasks. He'd do it the smart way, but what creatures died was none of his concern.

Ōku Nomoji
Ōku Nomoji The retreat was successful save for one creature that continued following him through the narrowest of the corridors, fighting against the battle hardened Prince until it finally touches him on the back and succumbing to the darkness. A final shout of absolute anger fills the cavern as the boy continues to press his way forward, finally able to return back to the original fork in the road.
While the other side was finally caved in, there is only one more route to take. Would he venture further or turn his back on the entire ordeal and ignore the trial of water?
