Getting Yang Back Into Action (Ongoing RP) [Weiss & Yang]
ᘜᘎᒪᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ·MONDAY, APRIL 4, 2016
Glyphic Heiress
Weiss had finally escaped from Atlas. Her father hadn't been the most understanding of people, he hadn't been able to let her go. He was already yelling at her again for her decision to end up going to Beacon, for finding those teammates that had ended up putting his small daughter in such harm's way, especially when she wasn't able to fully able to utilize her abilities. She hadn't been able to summon; she wouldn't be able to focus on classes, or have anyone she was accustomed to being around her. All the same...
She had made up her mind and left Atlas, going to Beacon. From there, she had found the others. Ruby Rose, their childish yet brave leader. Her sister, Yang Xiao-Long, the strong... and annoying... punster. Finally, Blake Belladonna, a Faunus, quiet and yet very strong-willed. All of them together had joined up with the studious, skilled woman, putting up with her coldness and snarkiness, and finally pull things together properly. It was... definitely a group of opposites.. but it was the best Team she believed she would ever have.
It was as though their destinies were twined together, and that was exactly why she was saying good bye to her family - and her home - once more.
She had kept her Scroll on her, using it to stay in contact with the others. Ruby and the remainder of Team JNPR were headed to Haven to try to figure things out up there. Blake had disappeared, and Yang... well.. Yang wasn't doing too hot.
Weiss was forced to leave before she could spend time with her teammate, forced to disappear before she could even open her mouth to try to say a single word to her. Yang was.. always there to help pick her up when she needed it, someone that let her rant and rave when she had to complain about Ruby - or when she had to let off steam about Blake disappearing or not eating.
It was Yang that helped keep her sane on the team; after all, her confidence and extreme willingness to be friendly with everyone was exactly what they needed. What she needed, to make everything feel even a tiny bit okay.

Hey, SnowQueen. Yang isn't doing so hot. I don't know what's going on with her, but she hasn't been replying to any of my messages. Do you have any idea what's going on?
[SnowBird]
{~WeissSchnee~}
If I did, I would have told you by now, duh. Look, I know you're worried; I'll get on it as soon as I can.
[DancingRoses]
{~RubyRose~}
Hey, Weiss? I... know you probably won't get this, but we're going to be going to Haven. My sister is still stuck at home, not feeling that well. I don't know where Blake is; she doesn't seem to have her scroll. Could you.. I don't know.. Talk to her or something?
[VomitBoy]
{~JauneArc~}
Ren, Nora, and I are going with Rubes. SnowAngel? Do me a favor and let us know how Yang is. We're going to need our FireCracker, the SnowAngel, and the BlackCat if we are ever going to get things straightened up around here. Thanks.
Reading all of the messages from the Scrolls that were sent to her had only amplified her need to go see Yang. Typing a quick message out to her, she shouldered the small bag she had packed over the past few days, disappearing in silence from her home.
----
How Weiss had gotten there was anyone's guess. After all, her Kingdom was far away from Yang's home, but there she was, standing, pristine hair organized as usual, icy blue eyes glaring in the sun.
A few moments of speaking to Taiyang, and she was already at the door, not even bothering to knock once. Flinging the door open, she tossed down her bag, crossing her arms.
"Excuse me? Who said anything about letting /YOU/ mope around?"
ᘜᘎᒺᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ
Yang turned to see the source of her door suddenly flinging open. Having been looking out the window moments earlier as there wasn't much else for her to do in her small room. The once carefree and confident brawler now looked like a complete mess with her disheveled hair, Bags under her eyes, no make up and her eyes that normally seemed to light up looked empty almost dead. She was confused upon seeing who it wanting to smile and be happy her friend was there but couldn't even manage to force a fake smile. The last she had heard was that Weiss had been taken back to Atlas and her father wouldn't let her leave so why was she here?
"Weiss? Why are you here? Last I heard you were in Atlas and not allowed to leave. Better yet why are you not with my sister and here to see me? And what else do you expect me to do? I can't even do anything myself anymore. I'm crippled Weiss I can't fight, I can't ride my motorcycle, I can't write and I can't even dress myself properly on my own."
Glyphic Heiress
Glyphic Heiress "Ruby has the rest of Team Loser Squad to take care of her," she stated, crossing her arms as haughtily as she always did, twirling her ponytail down over her shoulder. "Besides, I was given explicit sentiments and orders to bring you back in full health and rearing to go. It isn't like they can get to Mistral in just a few days on foot."
She took in the sight of her friend, narrowing her eyes as she took in the sight of the ruined woman. It was pathetic, honestly, that she had allowed herself to go so much. She knew she was depressed, she knew she had issues - or a lack of once - but the fact that she had allowed all confidence to drain from her body? Please.
"Excuses. Those are all I hear, Yang."
ᘜᘎᒺᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ
Yang could almost feel Weiss's eyes pierce through her as she glared at her. She'd never seem Weiss look this angry and upset and this was just from looking at how far her friend had let herself fall. She turned her gaze slightly away from Weiss not even able to look her in the eyes nor wanting to think what the heiress thought of her in her current state. Ashamed to even let Weiss see her like this.
" You should have just stayed with Ruby then. Since you were given orders to do something that's not possible. I'm missing an arm and you don't just bring someone back to full health from that Weiss. The only place I'm wanting to go is wherever Blake is so I can slug her with my remaining hand for running away!"
Yang's hair glowed and her eyes turned red as she mentioned Blake. Obviously quite angry with the faunus for having abandoned her and her friends without so much as a single word. Calming down after a few moments before speaking again.
" They may be excuses but they are true, and besides I wouldn't expect you to understand how it feels to be this helpless. So If you can tell me how I'm ever going to replace my missing arm and be back to full health again please tell me because I'd love to know. Because as of right now. I've got no idea where to start, no idea what to do and no confidence in myself to do anything."
Glyphic Heiress
"And that is your problem, Yang," Weiss stated, keeping her arms crossed, but moving across the room so she could look into Yang's lilac eyes, her icy blue ones peering into them. "You think that your arm was what made you such a good fighter. You think you are helpless just because you have to relearn things, just because you have to try to figure things out in a different way than it was before."
She lowered herself a little more, glaring at her more. "Newsflash; you aren't the only person who lost a teammate, nor are you - or ever will be - the last Hunter or Huntress with a disability. The fact you are still alive means that you can still do something."
Yang had been spared from dying. True, she looked like crap, true she had no confidence in herself any longer, but there were definitely still positives to the entire situation, possible things that could happen that Yang was completely over looking. And it was the constant excuses and self-pity that made Weiss even more angry.
What happened to Yang, confident punner who was the talk of the school? What happened to Yang, the girl who kept pushing everyone else to better themselves? What happened to the Yang that would always rush head first into battle, injured or not? That woman was still there, but she was buried, hidden in the shadows of this new, pathetic soul.
"Listen to me, P R I N C E S S. You are acting like someone who was used to having everything in the world handed to them, and now, you just can't handle being a little bit different. We can handle the rest, but you need to work on your self-esteem skills."
ᘜᘎᒺᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ
Yang grew more and more upset and Weiss further berated her knowing full well everything she said was true. The more Weiss yelled at her and the more she glared and stared down at the blonde. Weiss could easily see how much each of the words cut into Yang knew she couldn't sit there for the rest of her like but she had no idea what to do lost inside her depressed state. Yang then looked straight down silently for a few moments .
After a few moments she reached up grabbing onto Weiss's arm gently still looking down at the ground. " Please stop." She leaned forward resting her head against Weiss shaking ever so slightly fighting the urge to cry. " Weiss.... I'm sorry....Please help me.... I can still feel right my arm.... Make it stop" She stayed silent for a few moments shaking.
After staying silent for a few moments she couldn't fight the tears any longer gripping Weiss's arm tighter as she began to cry. She hadn't cried at all since she had lost her arm not once until now.
" I don't know what to do.....Tell me what to do Weiss....Tell me how to fix this.... Please Weiss....Help me." The brawler was reduced to tears and begging for help two things Weiss had never before witnessed from Yang.
Glyphic Heiress
Weiss blinked. She realized that what she had said had gone too far, but too late at that. Already being able to see the tears that were beginning to form in the blonde's eyes, hearing her sobs for help, it was all Weiss could do not to break down there with her. She was being stubborn, she was being pig-headed, but the main reason as to why was because she was worried about her teammate... and emotions weren't always the best thing to show, at least not for the SnowBird.
Settling herself beside Yang on the bed, she wrapped her free arm that wasn't being clung too around the woman, hugging her tightly. "Yang..." she whispered quietly. "There.. we can't reattach your physical arm; it's been far too late for that for far too long. The only thing we can do is get you a mechanicalized one. I have already spoken to General Ironwood; I am certain he would be able to fit you with something if you were willing to go that far to look."
She held her tighter, especially when the tears began flowing down her golden-locked friend's face. "... It will take some time, but we can get you battle ready before the final smack down with that miscreant Cinder and her band of mental rejects. You'll just have to trust me."
ᘜᘎᒺᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ
She held onto Weiss as she finally let herself cry after everything that had happened. She was broken and she knew it would take time as Weiss said for her to get past this. But it was something she felt she couldn't achieve on her own anymore.
The Blonde was definitely going to need the help of her friend no matter what. Yang wanted so desperately to be her normal self again but with the loss of her arm and then being abandoned by her partner and close friend had left her depressed and drained of her confidence. But most of all she felt alone and discarded. But now Weiss was here.
Yang didn't care what Weiss wanted her to do. Her confidence and will may have been shattered but she believed in her friends she believed Weiss could help fix the broken person she was now. But she was afraid if she couldn't do what Weiss asked of her that Weiss would abandon her just as Blake and her Mother had.
" Anything Weiss...I'll do anything.... Dust help me please.... Don't abandon me.... Don't leave me behind.... Don't throw me away like my Mom and Blake did."
Glyphic Heiress
The pleading was exactly what ended up causing Weiss to lose her temper. Not hard in the slightest, but still enough to make a sound, the woman reaches across, smacking Yang lightly across the face. "Listen to me, Yang, and you better listen good. I am not going to abandon you! You should have far more faith in me than that!"
She clenched her fists, angry at the other two women that had destroyed her friend so much. Angry at Raven for not staying by her daughter's side, and pissed off even more so at Blake, the Faunus that was supposed to protect her friend even at the cost of her very life. That was a mistake; she should have known better than to have thought she was worth it in the end.
"You aren't broken, you aren't shattered. You just have some issues going on that I will definitely help you through." After the slap, she will be hugging Yang tightly again, hoping the hit shocked her to her senses, rather than causing a huge, extra upset than she should have felt.
"... We're here for you, Yang. I am. Your sister is. The rest of Team JNPR. We're all here. We aren't going anywhere."
ᘜᘎᒺᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ
She was cut off in the middle of her rambling and pleading as Weiss smacked her. It wasn't extremely hard but the sound it made echoed in the room and in Yang's mind. Her head jolting back from the hit and her tear soaked face sporting a shocked and confused look as she stared Weiss straight in the eyes.
She listened to every word Weiss said, the words echoing in her mind as the white haired girl spoke. The sentences "You aren't broken, you aren't shattered." Seeming to hit deep within her soul. It looked like some of the light seeming to come back to her purple hues as she realized this wasn't something she had to do alone and reached up to rub where Weiss had smacked her.
A slight smirk crept on her face. The smack seemed to have done its job knocking Yang out of her depressed trance before she spoke. " Sorry you had to see me act like that Weiss. God I'm an idiot aren't I? Though smacking me Weiss? You sure rolled the dice there. Even with one arm had I gotten mad I could have put you through the wall." She gave a weak chuckle and a light smirk.
Glyphic Heiress
"If you would have punched me through the wall, it would have been a much more welcome sight than seeing you acting dead here in bed," she snapped back out, placing a hand delicately on her hip. "Besides, you would have had to have caught me first." She pointed down underneath her to where a glyph was slowly starting to fade. "I came prepared. As always."
And she also knew not to touch the hair. Touching the hair would have turned out to be a very bad mistake. Still, despite the threat and the rest, Weiss couldn't help but to give a slight smile in response, the tears that she had been holding back since coming to find Yang finally starting to spill over.
"I am glad you're going to be okay, Yang. You honestly had me really worried there for a few moments." It wasn't like Weiss Schnee, Heiress of the Schnee Dust Company to be scared either; but she had been, if only for a brief moment.
"So, are we going to go talk to your dad and get you someplace, or...?"
ᘜᘎᒺᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ
Yang smirked looking down to see the glyph. That was just like Weiss think it over a million times and be prepared for anything. It always astounded her how far ahead the Heiress thought and it never failed to impress the brawler.
Here she thought she was tough with her semblance and her brute strength. But Weiss she had a stronger spirit than anyone on team RWBY or so she thought. She was shocked when she seen Weiss's tears she had never seen Weiss cry and almost immediately used her arm to pull Weiss to her and hug her letting Weiss's head rest on her shoulder and her golden hair.
" Please don't cry Weiss. I already let you see me cry and beg like a weakling. I don't need to see you cry over me I've already cried enough over myself." She patted Weiss on the back lightly pausing for a moment before speaking again. " I've got you and Ruby to smack sense into me now so I'll be okay. I'm not sure where you want to go Weiss but I'd like to find out more about that arm you mentioned if I'm honest, Also I don't know if you realized but I just let you touch my hair when I hugged you."
She smiled at the white haired girl. " Which means you're one of three people I trust enough to let touch my hair!" She chuckled finding that amusing. She knew she should have been acting more serious but felt for some reason she needed to let Weiss know that. .
Glyphic Heiress
The Glyph was something that was always there. Well, not always, but it was something that signified her standing as a huntress. A huntress must always be one step ahead, must not ever allow anyone else to throw them around. After all, any sort of injury could be deemed a failure, and her family were not too keen to forgive failures. In all honesty, the fact that she had disappeared from Atlas again was probably something that would be greatly frowned upon by her family; not that she honestly cared, but at the same time, it was disconcerting to know one could be abandoned without even thinking about it.
But then again, she wasn't really going to be abandoned after all. She had Ruby. She had Yang. She had all of their friends they had created back at Beacon, and in truth... they were good family, family that she would always wish to be by her side.
When she was pulled down to Yang's level, Weiss returned the hug, tightly, for once instead of trying to shrug it off. Blinking back the tears, she was amazed by how soft Yang's hair truly was. She would have thought it would be plastered in sprays and gels to keep it at the optimum length and bounce, the way it always stayed in place even when fighting.. but it seemed as though she were wrong about that one.
"Thank you, Yang," she stated, leaning out of the embrace and wiping a single, solitary tear off of her cheek. "I am glad you trust me enough to let me touch your hair. Who are the other two?" Slightly curious, she had to ask.
ᘜᘎᒺᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ
She smiled at after she had leaned out of the hug and wiped the tear away from her face. She had never seen Weiss show this much emotion before now. But for some reason she couldn't help but be happy to finally see the girl everyone called Ice Queen show her emotions.
She chuckled rubbing the back of her head slightly" Well the others are Ruby and my Dad. I've kept it to only family being allowed to touch my hair. And well we may not be related but you're family to me you singing Snowbird."
Her eyes went wide as she realized she had just called Weiss a singing snowbird. Basically stating she knew about Weiss's singing. " So yeah. About that arm Ironwood was looking into. Whats the word on that!" She nervously chuckled hoping Weiss would ignore the singing comment.
Glyphic Heiress
That was something she hadn't expected at all. Weiss was normally the type of person to hide her singing from everyone; after all, an Heiress, a Huntresss, wasn't the type of person who would be caught dead singing a song. So how did she know about everything? "... How--?" Of course, even though she was distracted soon afterwards about Ironwood, it was something that had caught her attention.
She crossed her arms, nodding her head in seriousness again. "Right, the arm was created by the same person who handled General Ironwood's. I asked them to meet us in Vale. There are a few hoodlums we need to pick up along the way, so I figured why not?"
ᘜᘎᒺᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ
She let out a sigh of relief having dodged a bullet there she thought having distracted Weiss from what she said. She hoped she wouldn't make that mistake and let the singing comment slip again. As she listened to Weiss she wondered what they had done for the design and function of the arm.
She remembered Ruby describing Ironwood's arm to her but hoped it wasn't something nearly as tacky or tried to replicate her gauntlet and build it onto the arm. " Well that sounds fine I suppose Weiss. It will let me finally punch someone again. I just hope they made the arm really sturdy to handle my punches and didn't try to put any sort of stupid fancy features in it or try to build a version of my gauntlet into it. I'd like it to at least look somewhat normal."
She chuckled but thought to herself about how pissed off she'd be if they had tried to replicate Ember Celica and built it into the arm. She'd probably freak out and rip the arm apart just to remove it. As silly as it seemed she just wanted an arm that was nothing more than just a really durable arm.
Glyphic Heiress
The Snowbird crossed her arms, a mock look of distaste crossing her features. "What do you take me for? Someone who doesn't even know what her friend wants?" she asks, sighing. "I was the one that helped come up with the design. Of course, I can't /make/ the design or blueprint it out, but I did do something simple, and that was to explain everything that you would want."
She gives a slight smile at that, the brief turn of her lips proving that she wasn't really angry, but just acting that way to try to get Yang to smile a little more. Of course, no one really liked the entire 'gaudy, toss the entire armament into it' kind of thing, and she knew Yang wouldn't be one.
"I even told them if they could paint it to look more synthetic, like your skin, to do that. I'm not too certain if they managed to do that, but if they followed my directions to the t, it should be just another arm." Just an arm that was made out of nuts and bolts than blood and bone. In the end, nothing too different.
"You better bring both of your gauntlets; after all, you'll probably be training with them both together again after we handle this mess."
ᘜᘎᒺᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ
She was concerned at first as Weiss gave her a look of distaste and explained she helped design the arm. Yang's eyes seemed to light up as Weiss smiled after she finished speaking. This news had made Yang much happier almost excited even after finding out one of her closest friends had helped with the design. And if there was one thing Weiss knew well it was tasteful design.
The more she heard Weiss go on about the arm the happier she became. Hoping they had indeed painted it to look like a normal arm as her friend had instructed. And then came the comment about bringing both her gauntlets which immediately caused her to frown for a moment before looking and pointing to the lonely gauntlet on her dresser.
"They never found the other half of Ember Celica Weiss. It was on my arm when it was severed. Which means its either crushed under rubble over at beacon or someone found it and took it."
She gave a slight chuckle and paused for a moment shaking her head before speaking again. "Guess I'll have to remake the right gauntlet with one arm in the workshop that we have in our basement. Or try to make some new modified gauntlets. Either way I only have one half of Ember Celica at the moment."
Glyphic Heiress
She laughed as she saw Yang's lilac eyes brighten up even more. It was true that she was a considerable lot happier than she was when Weiss had first shown up to the Xiao-Long home, and it was amazing how much the other had perked up in such a small amount of time. To be more than honest, she thought that she was going to be in for a lot more of a fight than this - thank goodness that was far from the case.
"I hope that they can do so too," she states, giving her a small smile. And then she heard the words, the words that sent the entire world crashing around her ears.
"... I am sorry, Yang, I..." Her face had turned crestfallen as she heard the sounds that escaped from her lips. "I didn't know. I was taken away almost immediately by my father; I had no idea whether you had found the rest of Ember or not."
She sighed, realizing how depressive she was sounding. Forcing herself to smile and look back up properly, she nodded her head. "We can remake the right gauntlet, and you will have my help with that too. One half is all we need right now."
ᘜᘎᒺᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ
" No need to be sorry Snowbird. It was my fault in the first place I let myself lose control and I lost my arm and half of Ember Celica cause of it. Maybe had I done something differently I could have prevented it but what's done is done."
She lightly smacked her cheek once she was done speaking as if to wake herself up as she shook her head. It was obvious even talking about the situation was troubling for her. But she had been broken out of her slump by Weiss and was trying to keep herself out of it that much was sure.
" Besides as you said I only need one for now right? Though with only one arm I won't be all too effective." She chuckled giving Weiss a small smile. " Also I had a question. I'm not sure if you know the answer or not. But my dad told me for them to attach any sort of mechanical arm that I'd have to be awake, and they wouldn't be able to use anything to numb the nerve endings. Any idea if that's true or not?"
Yang wasn't so much concerned about the pain if there was any in the procedure. But more that if there was alot of pain she'd probably scream and wail like a banshee while the procedure was done, And that was something she didn't want Weiss to have to hear. She didn't want anything like that to be a memory in her friend's mind.
Glyphic Heiress
Weiss looked down at her hands, clenching them as Yang continued to blame herself for the loss of her arm and for the other half of Ember Celica. That wasn't her fault in the slightest; she had noticed her friend, her partner, being tortured. Of course she was going to lose control. Weiss would have done the same thing in her position. In a way, she kind of proved that during the doubles match of the Vytal Festival when they were going up against Neon and Flint, didn't she?
Clenching her fists more, she nodded her head, the answer evident in her features. "He's right. There isn't anything they can do to numb the pain that the procedure will cause you to go through. They have to make sure that all of the nerves are attached and attuned well to the mechanicalized limb, and they honestly can't do that if you are numbed to any twitching or pain it might cause."
It upset her to think already of the pain Yang had already gone through; she didn't want her to go through anymore, but for her to be able to stand up for herself again, for her to be able to be proud once more...
It seemed that a little bit of pain will be a small price to pay for such a thing. "You will allow me to stay with you, right? I don't want you having to go through that kind of thing without someone being beside you."
ᘜᘎᒺᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ
Yang sighed as Weiss confirmed what her father had told her. Not being able to even imagine how much pain the procedure would put her through. She was actually quite scared just thinking about it but would keep a straight face to hide it from Weiss.
Chuckling she slid her legs off the bed using her arm to brace on the nearby dresser that her gauntlet sat on she stood up. Turning to talk to Weiss again now that she was on her feet. The blonde really didn't want Weiss to have to go through seeing and hearing her scream and cry.
" So my dad was right for once, go figure. You've done so much for me Weiss even before all of this. I'm lucky to have you as my friend. But I don't want you to have to see me like that, you don't need to have a memory of me screaming and crying in agony while they attach the mechanical arm."
She paused for a moment making sure she was balanced before she reeached up and scratched the side of her head. "But if you honestly feel you could handle seeing me like that, and not let it have a negative effect on you. Then I won't stop you from being at my side when they do the procedure. Though I wouldn't recommend being too close if I'm in a lot of pain."
Glyphic Heiress
The Ice Queen smiled at that, reaching out to punch Yang's good arm quietly. It was out of character for the princess of the group, but at the same time, she figured it would be something that would assist Yang in the long run, just a little sign of familiarity that would help put her mind at ease.
Normally, Weiss would have gone over to help the golden-locked woman, but something told her that Yang needed to be able to do this on her own. After all, if she ended up babying her too much, well.. that might take a turn for the worse and make the blonde feel worse instead of better again.
"Isn't your dad normally right?" she asked, her tone joking. She had heard the tales plenty of times about the man, the way he acted, and the strange, eccentric ways he did things. Plus, she was there when he sent Zwei through the mail... and when he didn't come to her when she was on school arrest.
"I think I'll be able to handle it," she states, nodding her head slightly. "I honestly never want you to be alone when you are in pain again, not after everything that has been going on. It feels wrong to let you go."
ᘜᘎᒺᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ
Yang was surprised by the punch to her arm from Weiss and the smile on her face. She had half expected Weiss to freak out when Yang said that she didn't think Weiss could handle her screaming in pain. The light punch had made Yang chuckle slightly.
" Not really a lot of time dad just talks things up, and makes them seem worse than they do normally. So I've learned to take anything he says with a grain of salt now." She gave a chuckle smiling at her as she turned around to her dresser. Fidgeting with the one half of her weapon sliding it on herself as she kept speaking in her normal tone of voice.
"Are you sure you could handle that? I honestly want you to think about it Weiss. Could you handle standing there listening to me scream and not be able to do anything to help? Because that's not something I want to scar you with Weiss."
Even though Weiss had said she could handle it. The fact that she only thought she could is what concerned Yang. She didn't want to end up scarring Weiss with her screams. " I just need to sure Weiss. If you really want to stand by my side during that I need you to promise me something. I need you to promise me that you won't let my screams cause you any pain, and that they won't haunt your memories."
She turned back to Weiss having finally got her gauntlet on by herself with a smile on her face. " Also the crying earlier and whatever crying or screaming I do during the operation I'd like to keep that between us. Or are you going to tease me with it and tell Ruby." She let out a short chuckle as she spoke the last sentence.
Glyphic Heiress
{}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}
Weiss turned her eyes to the side slightly, giving a somewhat meek smile. After all, it wasn't every day that she acted outside of proper form - which the punch was - but at least she knew that it was something that made the other a lot more comfortable.
"Well, I suppose that is because he cares a lot about you. I know that he hasn't been the most... proactive dad about things, but I can tell that he cares." Though, it still made her upset that there were some things that he did not seem to be able to do. Why hadn't he come to Yang when she was on house arrest or anything else? Shaking her head slighty, she sighs.
It was a question that she couldn't really answer, a promise she wasn't certain that she could keep. After all, she already had nightmares about everything that happened in Beacon, about Pyrrha dying, about Ruby being hurt, Blake disappearing, Penny being ripped to pieces right in front of them...
It wasn't something she could just say that she was fine with, was it? Then again, she already had enough plaguing her mind; she may as well add one thing more to her list. At least this one had a bit of a positivity to it, and Weiss herself had a hand to play in the good parts of it. 'And the pain Yang will be going through,' the nagging voice growled at her in the back of her head. Forcing the thought back, bringing a smile to her face, she turns her attention back towards Yang.
"I am certain we will be fine. After all, I promised that I would be there for you. I'll do my best to be the person that you need by your side during these tough times." Besides, she had always felt closer to her than she had her own partner; it was kind of strange how all of that worked out. "And trust me, this, is between us."

---------------------------------------------
Yang smiled at the response Weiss had given her. Going through a procedure like that alone isn't exactly something she would want to do but scarring one of her closest friends would be far worse. She knew that Weiss hadn't exactly made a promise with the exact words Yang had asked her, but the words the heiress had spoke were more than enough to put the brawler's mind at ease.
With that Yang walked over to the dresser on the other side of her room. Picking up a duffel bag that hung on the nearby wall setting it down in front of her doing the best to pack a few things in the bag for the journey her and Weiss were about to set out on. Humming happily as she quickly filled the bag with things she determined she would need.
"Well I'm glad to hear that Weiss! I'd hate myself if I managed to hurt you because of my screaming during an operation. You've always been there for me and like I said before I am and always will be grateful for that. "
She smiled as she finished packing up the bag a loud zip heard before she threw the bag over her shoulder picking up her tinted glasses off the dresser and slipped them into her pocket. Turning around with a big smile on her face obviously ready to follow Weiss to the ends of the earth if she needed too. Quickly walking over and patting Weiss on the shoulder before she spoke again.
"Well I have everything I need Weiss all that's left is for you to lead the way for me. But um before we go I wanted to ask you something Weiss during that procedure. Do you think." She paused for a moment running her hand through her hair audibly breathing outwards. " Do you think you could sing for me? You know to keep me calm and help me get through it? It just calms me and makes me believe that everything is going to be okay."
She would never admit it to Weiss. But her singing as much as Yang teased her about it was probably the most beautiful sound she'd ever heard. And it was the only thing that could break her out of any anger induced rampage and calm her down no matter how upset she was.
Glyphic Heiress {}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}
Weiss watched her as she gathered up all of the materials that she deemed that she would need. There went the hair kit. There went the ammo. There went the clothes. There went the make up. There went fruit-bars. "Yang? No offense, but I don't think you are going to need to carry all of that --" She paused, shaking her head. "I have plenty of hair supplies and the rest that I keep in Atlas; you wouldn't have to worry about any of that. Now, if you really wanted..."
She paused at that, shaking her head. There was no need to tell the Brawler what she could and couldn't take. After all.. it was probably one of the things that would help Yang still feel familiar with everything after the surgery, items that she could take and just.. feel normal with.
"Never mind. Forget I said anything. I'll help you carry it if it starts getting too heavy."
She already knew that she was going to be broken when she heard the screams come; after all, she had plenty of memories. At least this time there was some kind of a positive out come to it. At least this time.. she knew that her friend would be safe. "You wouldn't end up breaking me; I'm too good for that kind of thing."
Turning her head away in her haughty nature appearing way, she gave a quick sigh, steadying herself for what she knew would end up coming in the end. No need to cry when they hadn't even left from Patch yet. That was ludicrous and pointless.
Hearing the words about her singing though, she turns her head back around, widening her eyes slightly. "You would want me to sing for you?" She already knew that Yang and Jaune had heard her sing, but other than them, she had kept her talent a secret from the entire world of Beacon, and in a way, Yang asking her to sing for her was... a comfort. It was something that made her feel useful. Happy. Somewhat bright.
"Of course I will sing for you, you dolt," she resorted back to the insult to hide her momentary embarrassment. "I know how much it helps you, so of course I will!"
ᘜᘎᒪᗪᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓰᖶᓰᘎᘉ [[Fᴇᴇʟ ᴛʜᴇ ғᴜʀʏ ᴏғ ᴍʏ ғʟᴀᴍᴇ.]]
Yang chuckled at how Weiss had begun to protest about the things she was bringing before stopping. Yang knew Weiss probably had alot of the stuff she was packing already but she didn't want to have to rely on Weiss for everything since she was already doing so much. Coming all the way to patch, smacking her back to reality and just being someone she could always rely on was more than enough for Yang.
On top of that Weiss went out of her way and looked into getting her a new arm after the injury she sustained. She couldn't even begin to imagine how much effort and how much lien that had cost Weiss and she knew it was something she would never be able to repay Weiss for. The heiress was giving the brawler another chance at life with this new arm she spoke of, and where would someone even begin to pay someone back for such an act of kindness she thought.
"I'm alright with it Weiss I may be down an arm at the moment but I'm still strong enough to carry the weight of my own belongings." She gave Weiss a smile, happy to be able to confidently say that now that Weiss had begun to help bring her confidence back. Giving Weiss a quick hug as she said the screams wouldn't break here even though Yang could tell it was a lie.
A bigger smile crossing her face as she let go of Weiss and walked to her door opening it as Weiss agreed to sing for her. Just the fact Weiss agreed to sing for her during the surgery took a huge weight off of the brawler's mind. " Well that puts my mind at ease, To know I'll be able to listen to you sing and keep me calm during the procedure. But I wanna tell you something no one knows about me not even Ruby knows Weiss, I'm actually quite terrified of being operated on and well surgery in general."
She gave Weiss a smile as she told Weiss one of her deepest secrets. She felt Weiss needed to at least know that this procedure was actually something the blonde feared one of the few things that could actually scare her. " I just figured you should know so that way you realize how much you're helping me. And well, how much I trust you."
She then gestured to the door as if she was ready to get going, Even if she didn't know exactly where she was going she had Weiss to lead her. " Anyways, I think I've spent too much time in this stuffy room. So lets get going! Lead the way Snowbird!" She said with a smile on her face as she looked to Weiss.
Glyphic Heiress {}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}
Weiss had had a long, arduous journey to get out here, of course. Forcing her father to listen to her and understand the gravity of her getting out wasn't going to be something that she would be able to manage, so while she was stuck in Atlas, she had decided to take on a few extra projects - one of those projects being getting Yang her new arm. Of course, it wasn't going to be perfect , and it wasn't going to be anywhere near as comfortable as her old arm had been, but at least it was something that they could work towards together.
Everyday, she had continued singing, plotting, drawing things out in a means to be able to escape, and finally she had. During a Dust Shipment, she had convinced her father to allow her to go ; after all, if she was the heiress of the company and someone that would soon begin to overlook the shipments as they were deported to other Kingdoms, she was going to have to be able to see how everything worked now, not later on down the line.
That was when she made her escape. Through that and a little bit of help.. well, that was how she had ended up arriving here. Little did her father know that the secret help was General Ironwood - never would he know that information.
"As long as you are sure. Just remember, you have a teammate here that will help you carry whatever burden you might have," she stated, crossing her arms slightly. Of course, while she was still acting haughty, she knew that Yang could see into her interior, see the worry, concern, and pride that she carried of being able to call herself a part of Team RWBY.
"If you are scared of the surgery, that's okay. We all have something that we are scared of; you aren't the only one." She turned her gaze to the side, thinking of the few things she knew all too well that she was frightened of. Losing her teammates. Being alone again, not being able to be happy and carefree as the SnowBird that Yang told her to be... There were certain things that were stressful, things that were scary, but that was all okay.
As a team, they could handle everything, even if one of their members had defected and ran away again, and one of them had disappeared to try to right the wrongs that were thrust upon them. In the end, even if it was just two of them, they were still a team, and they would be able to face anything that came their way. Already, Weiss knew that.. And already, that made the Schnee a bit less... stressed about everything that was coming up.
It had been a long while since she had felt that serene, calm feeling crossing over her. In Atlas, it was always about being perfect. Punctuality. Proper manners and form. There was never anything like there had been in Beacon, never something that was 'go with the flow' or 'it was okay to still be a child.' There, it was the exact opposite. Strict militant personalities, with devastating strategy and proper form.. It was too stiff there; she had found what she had lost all those years ago.
What she felt was lacking in herself, and in her own fighting style. FreezerBurn was back, at the very least, and soon, the rest of the group would come to play with them as well. It would just take a little bit of time, and that was okay. It would take some time, but in the end... maybe it would be well worth it.
Turning her head around to her teammate, the partner that had been given to her now, she nodded her head, handing out her hand for a typical 'tag in high five.' She gave a brief smile again, one that was now as full of self-confidence and the usual Snow Queen demeanor that she was known for; after all, there wasn't a reason for her to end up getting too upset, right? She had a FlamingSoul to protect and ensure got back up to one hundred percent fighting ability.
"Alright. Time for us to get started then," she stated, nodding her head. "This trip is going to be so worth it at the end, Yang, you'll see."
She paused for a moment as she began to strut out the door in her usual finesse, turning her blue eyes to peer into lilac. "And you know, I trust you too."
ᘜᘎᒪᗪᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓰᖶᓰᘎᘉ [[Fᴇᴇʟ ᴛʜᴇ ғᴜʀʏ ᴏғ ᴍʏ ғʟᴀᴍᴇ.]]
Yang smiled at Weiss, even with how much she tried to hide it Yang could peer through those eyes of hers and read the heiress like an open book. She could see the concern and the worry within her but she could also see the pride and the stress beginning to fade from her. Her smile getting wider as the white haired girl reminded her that she would always be there to help carry whatever burden that they might encounter.
" Together we can carry the weight of any burden Weiss. Together we can overcome anything that comes our way. Don't be afraid Weiss, I won't let you be alone ever again even if that means knocking some sense into your dad!"
She smirked at Weiss after making that comment. She knew doing something like that would be bad for both of them but it was more to try and help relieve Weiss of any doubts of fear. After all what kind of teammate would she be if she couldn't even help wash away any fears their friend may have, and with that said she saw the raised hand for a tag in high five resulting in a huge smile from the blonde brawler.
Almost immediately after she had raised her hand for the high five and spoke saying it was time to get started, Yang had returned the high five but grabbed her hand and gave it a quick squeeze while smiling and staring her in the eyes before she spoke. " Lets get this show on the road then Snowbird! There's nothing that can stop us now!"
With that said she let go and Weiss began to strut out the door before turning to look her in the eyes before telling her the she trusted her as well. The smile on Yang's face growing wider then as she followed Weiss out the door, closing the door to her bedroom as she left. Walking down the stairs with the heiress she spoke to her dad letting him know what was going on and ignoring his protesting and trying to make to her stay.
Giving him a hug before waving to him as she left the house with Weiss, Now the heiress and the brawler's journey would begin. It would by no means be an easy journey and would take them quite some time to reach their destination but in the end it would be worth it. Yang took one look back at her home and her father standing out front of the house giving her one last wave brought a smile to her face and a tear to her eyes as she turned back around using her free hand to wipe her eyes.
"There's no turning back now. From here on out we only have each other to rely on." She said as they walked down the path starting their journey.
The days passed as the duo traveled, Seeing all sorts of different places and unique scenery on the way. Passing through some towns they knew and some towns that they didn't . They had a few close calls during their journey with unexpected Grimm but they always came out on top Yang still managing to hold her own even with the missing arm.
Miraculously during their journey they had stumbled across Team CFVY, And found out that Fox had recovered Yang's missing gauntlet. Telling the story about how he had found her arm and tried to help her up not realizing it was her severed arm until Velvet had screamed and freaked out before telling him what it was. The group of them having a laugh before Fox returned the missing half of Ember Celica to her.
Unable to wear the other gauntlet Yang had clipped it to her belt with a chain just happy to have it returned to her. This had solved one of the problems Yang had, Once thinking she'd need to remake Ember Celica but now being able to forget about that idea and put it behind her. All that was left was reaching Atlas and have the mechanical arm surgically attached to her then she'd be back to one hundred percent.
It was a few more days of travel before the duo had finally reached Atlas Weiss's home town. Yang knew next to nothing about the place all she knew is that most people here seemed to be rather strict and by the book. It would be here that she was at the mercy of Weiss's knowledge and experience of the place not to mention it was also going to be a place of great pain for her once they went to have the procedure done.
As she thought about that she reached up and grabbed onto the stump of her right arm giving a light squeeze. She was nervous about the procedure mostly but for some reason the city itself made her seem nervous. Perhaps it was the fact that a place like this seemed to despise people who had a carefree and outgoing nature like Yang did but whatever it was it was enough that Weiss would be able to notice it.
" Well, We made it Weiss. We're finally here at Atlas, Hopefully it’s not much different than when you last left because I've got no idea how this place works or where anything is. So Snowbird where to?" She asked giving Weiss a small smile and looking to her once she finished speaking.
Snow Bird {}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}
Weiss couldn't help but to give a slight smile to the words she had spoken. They were indeed a unit, a special group that wouldn't be able to survive without the other now; that much was obvious. Weiss had drug Yang out from the depths of despair and had offered her a way to be able to continue living. And Yang, believe it or not, had give Weiss more of a means of being proud of herself, had shown her that although they were all separated, none of them were alone in the end.
She was proud of everything that Yang had become, everything she had accomplished. While yes, she was still the same rambunctious, irritating, fully-rash, adventure-seeking woman she always was... Yang had seemed to be able to take this opportunity and mature from it, instead of falling deeper into despair. Yang could have pushed Weiss away, and for some reason... for some reason, she hadn't.. And that made the entire world so much more bright.
Waiting for Yang to say goodbye to her father, Weiss checked her Scroll, sending a quick message to Ruby and the others that had been traveling ahead, as well as to Qrow, the man that was slowly watching over them.. Oh, and to General Ironwood and her sister as well, as they were the two that were to assist in getting Yang back her arm properly. It was going to be a mess, but they would be able to handle it.
The journey to Atlas was perilous, that much was from certain. From attacking Grimm to avoiding any riots that were being held out on the streets, it was obvious that there were still many problems that needed to be fixed in the world of Remnant, issues that wouldn't just be able to be solved over night. If anything, it broke her heart to notice all of the things that were going wrong with the world, but... all of this was the ugly truth that reared its head in front of them. All of this was exactly put to Cinder's plan, was exactly what they all wanted from the very start. Chaos. Destruction. Pain.
Weiss was glad that she had Yang with her. While she was still the one-armed brawler and still had a few issues, Yang was what kept the return journey looking up so much more than it h ad already been. It was thanks to Yang that she was managing to keep it together, that she was managing to be able to move forward with her. If it wasn't for Yang.. there would have been plenty of times she would have faltered, plenty of times she would have just called it quits and given up on the entire expedition itself. If it weren't for Yang... Weiss wouldn't have left Atlas to begin with.
When they met up with the blind warrior and the remainder of Team CFVY, it was a huge relief. It seemed as though there were more people in the world that was still fighting and doing their jobs as Hunters and Huntresses and who were still trying to keep things together. When everything was said and done, the SnowBird had given CoCo and the remainder of the Team her Scroll ID so they could stay in contact - on top of telling them their whereabouts and the happenings of the previous couple of weeks, including the run down on what they were planning on doing after they got Yang's arm replaced.
With their blessing and their promise to help out wherever was needed, Yang and Weiss left from their fellow Team, and headed onward towards Atlas.
The entire time, her heart began to falter, her stomach starting to lower into the pits of her stomach. She had just escaped from this wretched, militant state just to return to it, and in a way, it disconcerted her, set wrong in her stomach. She didn't want to be back; she didn't want to see the marching of the people in the streets, didn't want to see the prim and proper dressed everywhere. She missed the vibrant colors of Vale, missed the way that everyone was trying to just be themselves.. Now, she was back in a place where everyone had a specific role, and they were also required to act in place of that role.
Shaking her head, she lifted her head upwards, forcing a smile to cross her features as she heard Yang's words. 'Well, we made it, Weiss. We're finally here at Atlas.'
The words echoed in her head as she took a deep breath, turning around to nod slightly at the blonde brawler behind her. "We have made it, yes," she stated, her eyes narrowing as she turned around to survey the city before her. "It looks like everything is still roughtly the same; the only differences are the fact that there is an up in security again."
Crossing her arms, the old Weiss slowly starting to return, the girl stuck out her tongue childishly towards the vacant streets, her long, flowing locks seeming to whip behind her in an irritated gesture as she shook her head.
"We're going to be going directly to General Ironwood. No one needs to know I've even been missing." Although, she knew that her father would have raised all the alarms, had raised all of the trouble that had reached across for them. Regardless of that, she lifted her head, hand on her rapier as she walked into the streets.
ᘜᘎᒪᗪᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓰᖶᓰᘎᘉ [[Fᴇᴇʟ ᴛʜᴇ ғᴜʀʏ ᴏғ ᴍʏ ғʟᴀᴍᴇ.]]
The small smile faded from Yang's face as she thought more about the procedure that was going to happen. Even with Weiss there Yang still felt sick to her stomach when she thought about how much pain she was going to have to go through. She could only hope they'd be able to keep her at least somewhat held down and calm while they cut into her arm and did what they had too.
She knew from the beginning that it wasn't going to be pretty and that she'd have to swallow her pride. Thankfully she had Weiss to keep her head on straight no matter what happened. Wincing slightly as phantom pain from her severed arm started to bug her again, Noticing Weiss's forced smile as she turned around.
The blonde knew Weiss hated Atlas. She knew that she would rather be anywhere else in the world other than the one place she seen as a cage. Shrugging off the phantom pains that were bugging her she walked up patting Weiss on the shoulder.
" I've known you long enough to know how much you detest Atlas. So don't feel you need to force any smiles around me like you just did okay? I'm not a fan of Atlas myself and you know that but I have to swallow my pride here and accept help from them now if I want to be of use again."
She chuckled shaking her head at the mention of security being even more strict than normal. That was to be expected after all the backlash Atlas had been getting from the events that took place in Vale. Even if it wasn't their fault, no one else knew that.
"Well I guess we better get headed to the General and your big sis then shouldn't we? Get my pain and suffering out of the way first! By the way any idea if I'll have to be bed ridden or not after the surgery?"
She figured she would probably end up being bed ridden after the surgery was complete. But she didn't know for sure, Maybe they'd just be able to let her go out and on her way with Weiss. Though she highly doubted it but figured she mind as well ask Weiss just in case.
After that she realized she had mentioned her sister, and that surprised her she didn't think Winter would be one to care about Weiss's friends. " So How'd you get Winter to go along with this Weiss? I never took her for someone who would care about your friends."
Snow Bird {}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}
She could already feel the stress that seemed to be building up in Yang; who couldn't, after all? It was a stress that was worse than life itself. A stress of pain, or worry, of wondering whether or not she will still be useful after this entire ordeal. How would she be able to manage it if she wasn't able to... survive?
It was going to be bad pain; Weiss had already been told about everything that would occur during the procedure due to General Ironwood also having prosthetics attached. She had been there, though she was small, when he had gotten his arm attached. She could hear the screams echoing through the very walls of the building, and she couldn't stand the thought of this going on with Yang...
But it had to be done, right? She had to try to find some way to be able to feel complete again, and this.. this was the only way that Weiss had been able to come up with. Her physical arm was far too gone to be able to be attached back to her body, and the only other option was just learning to be herself with one arm. Which, clearly, wasn't going to be going over that well.
Hating Atlas was an understatement. Atlas was her cage; the cage that clipped her wings and silenced her voice. Atlas was that which she hated about herself. Strict. Militant. Unable to attain what she wanted to be able to grasp.. Always having everything stripped away from her in a milisecond, including her very life. Her very song. Her very friendships.. Her very family.
"Okay, Yang," she stated, a slight smile, a real one, coming towards her features as she heard the blonde state the words. Taking a deep breath, she took another step forward, hoping beyond hope that the brawler behind her would continue to walk with her as well.
It was her question that made Weiss stop again, whirling around on her heel to look into her eyes, placing a hand on her hip. "You know as well as I do that any surgery deserves a little bit of recovery time. There is also going to be some minor physical therapy to ensure that you will be able to move and utilize the prostethic the same as you could your other arm," she states.
She falters for a moment, looking down. "The bedrest would be easily a few days. The therapy could last weeks, possibly even months if everything doesn't work properly." It would greatly give them the disadvantage to getting to Mistral to be able to find the others, but at the same time.. they wouldn't really stand a chance going at it the way they already were in any case.
"Winter isn't really as cold as she looks," she stated, giving a smile. "To be honest, my big sister was the one that gave me the advice to be able to properly escape out to Vale, told me to let my wings fly and go explore Remnant and not let Father clip my wings."
She had been in a similar situation before, so she knew that Winter was doing everything she could to help her.
"She might seem cold and unapproachable, but honestly before I met all of you guys? She was my best friend."
?[[Fᴇᴇʟ ᴛʜᴇ ғᴜʀʏ ᴏғ ᴍʏ ғʟᴀᴍᴇ.]]?
"Days of bed rest and possibly weeks of physical therapy? Ugh this really is going to suck." She sighed she had hoped it wouldn't be too much time that she'd have to recover from the surgery but weeks to possibly months? The brawler had no intention of staying in Atlas that long when the others needed both her and Weiss.
She had followed Weiss walking right behind her after she had spoke. Listening to each word Weiss had to say. They continued walking after Weiss had spun around to talk about the recovery time and her sister. She never knew Winter was that kind of a person you'd never have expected it with how cold of an exterior she had, but then again the same thing could have been said about Weiss when they first met.
"Hmmm, Didn't think Winter was like that seeing as she is in the military. But the more I look at it, the more she seems like you were when I first met you at Beacon. Cold, calculating, dangerous and by the book." She smiled at Weiss before she continued having matched her pace now walking beside her. " But that's changed Weiss, You've come a long way since then."
Her smile faded as the blonde spotted the nearby hospital, coming to the conclusion that was probably where they were headed. She reached up and grabbed onto the stump where her right arm was severed as they got closer a shake was noticeable in her had as she moved it to grab her stump. She took a few deep breaths as she tried to calm herself.
The closer they got to the building the more nervous Yang became. Mumbling and telling herself to stop being scared she smacked herself in the cheek lightly trying to get her head back into the game. " Come on Yang, you've fought Ursas and Nevermores stop being a big baby!" She told herself as she walked beside Weiss.
Thoughts ran through her head of all the things that could go wrong all the pain that was coming her way. That was until she shook her head replacing those thoughts with all the enjoyable memories she had with her friends and with her team. She didn't know why but even thinking of her mother seemed to calm her down but eventually she had focused on the fact she had Weiss there with her. And if anyone could help her through this it would be Weiss.
She let out a light chuckle giving Weiss a nervous smile. " So what are the chances they screw up the procedure and I become some weird robotic monster woman?" She tried making a joke about the situation as they entered the hospital to calm herself down.
"Also Weiss hold onto these for me." She took off and handed both of her gauntlets to Weiss. " There is no way they will let me wear them in there and I feel more comfortable with you holding onto Ember Celica."
With that Yang left herself at the mercy of the hospital those who were going to be performing the operation and Weiss. " Lead the way Weiss, cause I'll be honest I don't think I can go any further in here unless I have you to focus on and shut everything else out."
Snow Bird {}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}
Weiss gave a literal chuckle of a laugh at that point, shaking her head softly as she listened to the other grumble behind her. Of course it wouldn't be good for the adventurer of all people to be stuck on bedrest, but desperate times called for desperate measures, and if she truly wanted to retrieve her arm back, she was going to have to come up with something that was out of her comfort zone, at the very least by a little.
"Just breathe; it'll be over a lot sooner than you think," the ice queen stated, crossing her arms. "Unless you are saying that this is too much of a challenge for you." She knew how much she hated laying around.. but one thing the brawler hated even more than that? Being unable to keep up with that competitve streak that made her who she was.
"You seem to think that she and I are that much different!" she exclaimed. They were.. a lot different, but at the same time, they were the same as well. Sisters that had been brought up in a divided household with unpleasant childhoods, and a lot of control being placed upon them like an iron gauntlet. They were both born to be perfection. Swift, intelligent, strong! All of the characteristics that surrounded a perfect woman - and a perfect heiress.
Once Weiss figured out that she was able to fight, that was the moment she decided that she was no longer going to be a pawn to her father's game, that she was going to be able to become the best huntress that she possibly could. If that meant being strict, militant, and with a certain eye for the rules others didn't think that she possessed, then that was what it meant.
"I haven't really changed that much, Yang," she stated, still keeping her eyes peeled for any signs of adversity. "If anything.. I am possibly a lot worse than I was before. True, I break the rules more, I change things up, but in the end, I am still Weiss Schnee, Heiress of the Schnee Dust Company."
Finally, the hospital came into view. It didn't even take a glance to realize that Yang's lilac eyes would have dropped into despair again; in fact, her very voice lost that chipper sound that she was using to try to smile more herself, lost that sunshine glow that seemed to sign her off more as who she was.
"You are going to be fine, Yang," Weiss stated, whirling around on her heel to glare at the other, finger outstretched and pointing at her. "Besides, you have me here; what could possibly go wrong?" A simple statement that seemed to be completely and utterly unrelated and very self-conceited, it was that very statement that she hoped and prayed would help calm the brawler that was towering above her.
She narrowed her eyes slightly as she kept her eyes at the other. Things could go wrong. Pain would happen, but the same could be said of being a huntress. Same could be said of being an adventurer. Same could be said of anything that had to do with life in general.
About to open her mouth to ask questions and put Yang back in her place, she realized she didn't have to do so. Yang had already managed to calm herself down, no matter what she had been initially thinking of, and whatever it was... really seemed to do a good job for her.
"Hmm. The procedure being a failure is a very, very small percentage, and even if the arm was not able to function properly, it would definitely not turn you into a monster," she stated, crossing her arms, ponytail disappearing across her shoulder once again. "Seriously, Yang, you need to think about the things you say sometimes; you seem to be depraved."
It was in a brief second after the fact that she frowned, taking the two gauntlet rings away from Yang. "I will take care of them, Yang. I promise you I will." Moving her own sheath that she carried her Rapier on, the woman will slide them into a pocket, her hand remaining as close to it as possible as she walked, arms properly by her side.
Weiss took a deep breath; it seemed that although she refused to admit it, she was just as nervous as Yang was. Her friend had already lost so much, had been hurt so much... It would kill her if anything else in this world blew up in her face.. And that was what concerned her the most.
Regardless, she lifted her head high, her voice was mighty and steady, and her body swished properly as she walked, every bit the regal woman she needed to be.
"Let's go then, Yang! The sooner we get this done..."
The rest of the words hung upon the air. The sooner what? The sooner, the better? The sooner, the more swiftly she'll be able to train? The sooner.. the more likely they would be to find the rest of their friends alive without another death destroying their childhood dreams so quickly?
Form haughty, commanding the form of an heiress, Weiss continued to lead Yang down the hallway, finally coming to the operation room where she would be going through the procedure.
"Doctor, this is Yang Xiao-Long. Yang, I would like for you to meet Doctor Hyacinth. She will be taking care of you during everything."
ᘜᘎᒪᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ [[Fᴇᴇʟ ᴛʜᴇ ғᴜʀʏ ᴏғ ᴍʏ ғʟᴀᴍᴇ.]]
She watched as Weiss took the gauntlets and put them in her pocket. Handing them off to another person felt like giving away part of herself. But if she was going to let anyone hold onto them Weiss was one of the few people she trusted to keep them safe.
The blonde sighed as Weiss said let's go then, Yang! The sooner we get this done... The way her words trailed off concerned Yang. "Weiss must be just as nervous about this as I am." She thought inside her head as she followed Weiss down the hall and into the operating room of the hospital.
The room was filled with all sorts of instruments, devices and equipment that she had never seen before. This only signaled her mind even that this wasn't going to be a normal operation. The more she looked around the room the more nervous she got letting out a nervous and staggered breath as she set eyes on the table she'd have to lay on for the procedure.
Her attention was pulled away from the operating table as Weiss introduced her to Doctor Hyacinth. " H-Hey. Sorry if I'm not all that talkative Doctor I'm a bit nervous hospitals aren't really my forte." She gave a very nervous smile as she stopped speaking for a moment.
She paused for a moment before speaking once again." But I guess you're the one who is going to be sticking a new arm on me so thank you. Also I apologize before hand since I don't take pain well and I'll probably end up cursing at you during the operation."
The group talked for awhile longer and the Doctor showed Yang the prosthetic arm they were going to attach. It was just like Weiss had described completely robotic but still allowing her aura to be used, but it even had the synthetic skin paint on it that was an exact match to her skin colour. They had gone all out for this prosthetic and she had Weiss to thank for that.
After seeing the arm she reached over and pulled Weiss into as tight of a hug as she could with her one arm. "Thank you Weiss. Just thank you, for all of this and for giving me this chance I can never repay you for this kindness."
She patted Weiss on the back with a smile as the doctor took her into a different room to get her changed into a hospital gown and prepped for the procedure. It took awhile but after some time they had everything ready, and with that Yang hesitantly walked into the room and got onto the operation table after taking a few deep breaths before laying down and letting the Doctor and the nurses strap her down so she couldn't thrash about. Her eyes darting around looking for Weiss as the last straps were almost in place and the stub of her right arm locked into place so it couldn't move with a metal brace.
The brawler called out for Weiss as they were finishing up finally seeing the Heiress to the side of her the bright lights making it difficult for Yang to see. She then extended her hand out towards Weiss as much as she could before giving a nervous chuckle and smile to Weiss. It was clear in her face as well as her eyes that she was scared.
"H-Hey there's Snowbird. For a second there I thought you weren't going to show, but you promised me that you'd help me through this so I knew you'd show up!" She nervously swallowed before breathing deeply as the Doctors were now ready and waiting for Yang's go ahead to start.
" When Weiss tells you to begin then you can start." She said as she smiled at Weiss closing her eyes slowly exhaling before speaking out loud to herself. “ Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.”
Snow Bird {}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}
Weiss knew how important the connection between Yang and herself were. She knew exactly how much Yang needed to make sure that her weapons were safe. After all, they were a part of her, part of that warrior spirit that made the Brawler who exactly she was. What else was there for it? The Ice Queen would never let anyone else put a hand on Ember Celica, not while she had a say in anything that had to be mentioned with it.
She reached out quietly, touching Yang's shoulder again as she noticed the tint of stress starting to enter into her face. If she hadn't known about the instruments and the necessary machinery that was going to be required for this surgery, she would have been frightened as well. In all honesty, she really was.
This was her friend that was going on the table, a friend that meant the entire world to her, and a friend that had battled with her from day one. After all, every since they became teammates, even when they hadn't known they were going to be put together on a team, they had fought together. The days in the ruins seemed far long ago, so far ago. Had it really been only two semesters since they had started at Beacon?
They were far too young for things like this to be occurring. For Yang to be needing a new arm. For Blake to be missing. For Pyrrha to be dead. For everyone to be broken. They were far too young for any of this! Why had this happened?
At least there was one thing Weiss could fix - or at least try to fix. There was that one thing that she could assist to help with. It wasn't going to be perfect, but it was going to be far better than what had been. Far better than what was.
She waited as the Doctor and Yang spoke, keeping her voice quiet, only popping in with motivational words and terms whenever she could. Her blue eyes had widened in surprise the second she had saw the arm.. They had really outdone themselves, following all of her directions to a t.
It was natural seeming; it was robotic, but it didn't hide anything from her aura. It was robotic, and they all knew it, but even the skin tone was correct and matched Yang's.. Winter must have found some of the pictures that she had taken and used them as a reference for the shading.
She was definitely going to have to thank Ironwood and Winter for this.. She was going to have to thank everyone for helping make the perfect arm for her teammate. Nothing could buy this, nor the pride in her heart. Not even the most precious Dust in the world would be able to compensate for this.
Hugging Yang back as tightly as she could, she looked up at her taller friend, the blonde hair flowing over her own, frozen locks, the woman's lilac eyes starting to glaze over in slight tears.
She was thanking her? Oh no, Yang, you have the wrong idea...
Instead of giving voice to her conflicting feelings and being honest about anything, she stated as haughtily as she could.
"Excuse me, but we don't have the time for you to be gushing over me and clinging to me like this!" She turned her head away, closing her eyes, one hand resting on her hip, the other gesturing towards her in a familiar motion. "If you want to thank me so much, you can shut up and get on the table already. After all, this procedure needs to get underway so we can get to everyone else as soon as possible."
Even though she was still acting as Weiss as possible, her heart was sinking into her chest. Had she really made the right decision? Had she really done what she needed to do? What would have happened if she had stayed in Atlas?
It was then that the breath of relief came to her. They both knew what would have happened if they hadn't have managed to get her out of Patch. They knew what would have happened if Weiss hadn't gotten out of Atlas...
A deep breath later, Weiss was by Yang's side, refusing to go anywhere. She reached out, taking the other woman's hand softly. "You are going to be fine, Yang. Trust me, it's just going to be momentary. You will be back up and ready for action in no time, ready to go on another adventure. Don't look so scared."
A reassuring smile crossed her features as she squeezed her hand once after her words. She knew why Yang was going to be scared, but.. wasn't that why Weiss was here? She had to stay as calm and collected as possible, didn't she? That way, she could sing, and help keep it together for Yang too.
"Of course I was going to show; no offense but I don't disappear after I make a promise."
Turning her gaze towards Hyacinth, she nodded her head softly as she opened her mouth, soft words starting to flow from the voice of the SnowBird.
'Mirror, tell me somethingTell me who's the bravest of them all?Look before you, always yearningReaching out to grab your hand...'
ᘜᘎᒪᗞᕮᘉ ᗋᗰᗷᓱᖶᓱᘎᘉ ?[[Fᴇᴇʟ ᴛʜᴇ ғᴜʀʏ ᴏғ ᴍʏ ғʟᴀᴍᴇ.]]?
Yang let out a staggered breath as she gave control over to Weiss and held her hand. Staring up at Weiss now as she readied herself for what was about to happen before closing her eyes. She knew this wasn't going to be something she could try and ignore she was about to endure agony like she'd never felt before.
The sound of Yang's pulse on the monitor could be heard slowing as Weiss began to sing. Signalling that it truly did help her keep calm and make her relax. Weiss's calming singing voice was probably the only thing in the world that would pull Yang from being angry violent to docile in mere seconds but she wasn't sure if it would be enough to keep her from losing it during the operation.
As Weiss began to sing it signaled the doctors to begin the procedure. They did one last check before they had begun to get to work on Yang's arm. They had told her the pain at first wouldn't be too bad, but once they began the process of attaching each individual cluster of nerves to the main plate that would ultimately connect to her arm she would be in agony.
The blonde groaned and gritted her teeth as they worked away on her arm lightly squeezing Weiss's hand. The operation was going smoothly and Yang was managing to keep herself calm during the beginning of the operation as Weiss sang. But now they were about to get into the main bulk of the operation.
Without warning a pain like any other she had felt shot through her body causing her to instinctively jolt on the table and pull against the restraints causing the whole table to groan from the stress of holding Yang in place. The heart monitor began to beat louder as her heart rate began to climb it fluctuating but still within acceptable limits as she tried to focus on Weiss's singing not on the huge jolt of pain that just shot through her body. Yang groaned loudly her eyes wide as she squeezed Weiss's hand tightly her eyes changing back and forth between their red and purple colours as she tried to keep herself calm.
They continued to work on Yang's arm attaching each individual cluster of nerves to the main plate. Each connection cause the brawler extreme amounts of pain that caused her groan and grunt through her teeth tearing up once or twice but trying to not let Weiss hear her scream or see her cry again. The table she was laying on no longer looked pristine and straight every part of it that wasn't where the surgery was happening had been bent and warped by Yang's instinct to pull away from the pain.
She took a deep breath before panting as they paused for a moment getting ready to attach the main plate permanently to the stub of her normal arm and test all the nerve connections which would mean pain to every nerve at once. But once the connections were tested and working the hell she was going through would be over. Her heart felt like it was beating a mile a minute and that she had been fighting for hours but the procedure had been going on for less than two hours but now she was in the final stretch.
Yang wanted nothing to ever do with a hospital after this she thought to herself as she looked Weiss in the eyes still panting. She'd have tried to make a witty joke or remark to Weiss if she could have but with how out of breath she was there would be no speaking. Instead she gave Weiss the best smile she could her eyes still watering before they began the final stretch of the procedure.
The doctor began to attach the main plate to her arm permanently to Yang's remaining arm. It caused her to grunt and grit her teeth but it was nothing compared to the pain she felt when the doctor was connecting the nerves. It hadn't taken long for the doctor to have the main plate fixated permanently but now came the most painful part of the procedure. Testing every connection at once.
Without a warning from the doctor knowing it wouldn't do much good the doctor had begun the testing of the connections. She'd been warned it would only take ten seconds but that those ten seconds would feel like an eternity. There were a few audible beeps heard from a nearby device before the only signal that the testing had begun.
Immediately after the test had begin Yang's whole body thrashed upward before smashing back down onto the table as her eyes dark crimson eyes went as wide, tears streaming down her face and her mouth open as she choked back a scream. Her body jolted as the pain only got worse every fiber of her being felt as if it was being torn apart. The heart monitor going crazy as Yang suffered the agony.
She did her best to keep from screaming but as the test neared completion she couldn't take it anymore. And let out a scream of agony loud enough that everyone in the hospital would have heard it in the last second of the test. A loud beep was heard from the machine as the testing completed and showed no problems with the procedure.
The restraints that had been holding Yang down finally gave out as the test finished, and Yang snapped free her scream had turned into what sounded like a roar before she crashed back down on to the table unconscious her vitals slowly returning to normal. Her unconscious body still holding onto Weiss's hand not once having let go.

{~SunWukong~}
Hey, SnowQueen. Yang isn't doing so hot. I don't know what's going on with her, but she hasn't been replying to any of my messages. Do you have any idea what's going on?
[SnowBird]
{~WeissSchnee~}
If I did, I would have told you by now, duh. Look, I know you're worried; I'll get on it as soon as I can.
[DancingRoses]
{~RubyRose~}
Hey, Weiss? I... know you probably won't get this, but we're going to be going to Haven. My sister is still stuck at home, not feeling that well. I don't know where Blake is; she doesn't seem to have her scroll. Could you.. I don't know.. Talk to her or something?
[VomitBoy]
{~JauneArc~}

Glyphic Heiress {}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}
Glyphic Heiress {}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}
Snow Bird {}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}

Snow Bird {}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}
Snow Bird {}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}
Snow Bird {}~?, ??, ?? ?~{}
