Caesar: "I am sorry, Asche , but... JoJo has died." There was a crack in the Italian's voice as he uttered the words. It should have been the bubble, master who gave his life for the Joestar , the same as his grandfather had done before for Jonathan... It had also been the plan, but Joseph had, figured it out too soon. Despite how much a pain in the ass the happy go lucky man could be, he did have his moments. Few, amd far between, but those rare moments were priceless, precious memories that fueled Caesar onwards. "I wish I could have done more.. He spoke fondly of you, and while he knew you wished nothing to do with him... He stated that you ended up becoming a trustworthy teammate, adversary, and utterly round, amazing being."

Asche could not utterly... Fathom, what those words meant. He didn't know this guy. He didn't have any reason to believe him. Sure, must have been a friend of his or something, but-- no, no. Him, dead? It's not fucking possible. Asche refuses to b e l i e v e that. Some practically joke, blondie. Ha ha ha, nice one, give it up.
... And yet, why are his ears folding back even if he doesn't believe that degenerate piece of shit was gone? Why does his sinful heart feel like its dropping when he doesn't c a r e? Is it because the Italian is so believable? Is it because of those words, along with those unlikely little messages that he couldn't perhaps in the slightest accept for truth? Asche wasn't amazing. He wasn't round, or any of those things-- he couldn't have been, because if he was, he would have cared, right!? He couldn't possibly have cared all along.... ..... Right?
"I need you.... To shut the hell up." He utters, brows pressing as he places a palm hard against his face. This isn't r e a l, is it? This had to be some sick dream. A nightmare, even for a demon. "You know I can tell you're a damn liar? I can go to Hades, and I can see for myself what souls they've accepted. I'm strong enough to d o that. He won't be with an instructor, and he won't even be a prinny, because he's not d e a d, you s h i t."

The Italian's eyes looked down. There were things Caesar would joke around with. There were things he would laugh and push to the side, but never would he laugh about the death of a friend.. Especially not a dear friend like Joseph.
It was all he could do to keep his tone steady. There weren't even bubbles he could blow, his very Hamon was messed up with the emotions of his loss.
"He isn't with us anymore, Asche .. I know we have never met. That you have no reason to believe me. But it is true."
Go on to hell. See the truth.

Defiant, Asche turns on nimble paws, eyes shutting tight like his ears block out those blasphemous words. Not true. No. Not that idiot. He wouldn't get himself killed. That dumb, piece of shit human...
His shoulders raise up high for a second, teeth gritting. "If he thought that of me, you think he would have told me what he was pulling!? He told you, he probably was there with you! You humans spew shit from your holes all the time! This joke isn't f u n n y! He w o n ' t be in Hades!"
..... The realization upon seeing the reality will definitely hit him, and hit him hard when the time comes.

Caesar immediately turned around at that, slapping the rabbit across his face. "And do you think he would want to watch one of his best friends die in front of him, Asche? According to him, you met the Pillarmen before when they were docile, and even then they kicked your ass. What would you have done if they were in 100% brutality mode in which they honestly didn't care whether you challenged them or not?"
The Italian narrowed his eyes. How Joseph could put up with this little snot was too much for Caesar to put a grasp on; then again, how Caesar put up with JoJo was also one of those things that no one would be able to understand. People truly did bond in strange ways, that much was for certain.
"He died trying to protect all of us and save this world."
It should have been Caesar that had died, but no. JoJo had to pretend to be one of the big shots. He screamed out a roar of anguish, punching one of the nearby walls - one that was not too close to Asche this time, at least.

A large gasp was taken when he was suddenly slapped across the face, form whipping around at the dictation of his force, before his head lowered and his ears went totally limp. His hair cast a shadow over most of his face during those moments, and for a long time, not another word was uttered.
Until.....
"... That's easy." He clicked his tongue, the corner of his lips twitching upward into a snarl. "If he t o l d me.... I'm t e l l i n g you, nothing like what you're saying could have happened. Because I've g r o w n since then. I'm not as w e a k as before."
His voice was dangerously low. Like a whisper right into the devil's ear, laced with all the brutality and anger welled up within his soul, the denial and rage with this shoddy joke. His head slowly begins to raise, to reveal eyes wide open, and brows pressed furiously.
"I don't c a r e what he would have wanted. I don't even care if I c o u l d have died. That self-sacrificing b u l l s h i t wasn't something he looked like he fed into."
He takes a few steps up to him. Caesar is considerably taller than him, but it matters not when Asche's glare is like a dagger.
".... Hey. Are they still alive?"

[~ Caesar Zepelli~]
Caesar sighed at the words the other stated. He had expected to be completely fought against when he had slapped the demon, but it seemed that he was still far too gone with the denial of the news to cause any extra harm to him. It wasn't something that he wanted to have to tell the demon; if anything, he wished they could have swapped places. He wished that it wasn't him coming to tell Asche anything.
"You might have grown since then, but at the same time, so had they. They had gotten to the Red Stone of Aja - it was enough to summon even more powers to them greater than what they already had. The sunlight was the one weapon you could utilize against them; once they retrieved that..." The Zeppeli shook his head afterwards, a frown crossing his features. His hesitation should have been more than enough to explain what he meant.
"He might not have looked like he cared about a lot of people, but he definitely does care about others, especially the ones he considers his best friends."
There it was again. That rip in his very heart that seemed to want to scream out and kick and cause trouble to everyone around him.
Suddenly, the demon is closer to him, and he can tell the determination in his eyes. After all, it was clear that Caesar had the exact same thought in his mind.
"Esidisi is dead. Wamuu and Kars are still living." He looked at the other, bending down to his level. "If you come with me, you run the risk of dying. If you go after them alone, you run the risk of dying. Either way... are you willing to do this?"

"F U C K the red stone!"
That didn't m a t t e r! It was a fucking r o c k! It was a piece of s h i t! You shatter the damn thing, they're powerless, and if you asked Asche, that's what they should have done in the goddamn F I R S T P L A C E! It never n e e d e d to get to this point, D I D I T?
Panting hard, seething, voice cracking with just how much he wants to s c r e a m, Asche stands stiff, sharpened nails digging into the insides of his palms so hard that they've begun to bleed.
He's at his limit. He can't even stay calm anymore. It's starting to hit him that maybe this isn't a joke, because the idiot isn't coming out, and Caesar is way too into it for it not be real. It causes not anger, not rage, but dread to fill his heart, and the worst part is that he didn't understand w h y.
"I don't.... Care. About what they obtained." He growls, swallowing hard. "I don't. I don't care about them at fucking a l l. What I want? Them dead. R i g h t now."
He takes a few more steps forward, clutching bloodied hands around Caesar's collar and scowling so deeply that he truly did appear demonic.
"I don't give a shit if I die trying. What I'm going to do is shatter that artifact, and drag them into the evening sun so I can watch the bitches d i e."

Caesar clenches his fist at the side as he listened to the words that Asche was stating. They could have just smashed the Red Stone and it have been over with, that much is definite, but at the same time, there could have been ways that they could have obtained the unobtainable, and that would have caused even more troubles than good.
No. It would have been easier to protect the single, whole piece, even with just the three guardians that it had. Lisa Lisa. Caesar. Joseph.
In the end, nothing was worth the life of the man that Caesar had started to call brother. The man that, while they had definitely started off on the wrong foot, were starting to gather themselves as friends. Honorable warriors who were the best of friends.
Caesar's eyes of green glare into the other's, the Italian not seeming to be the charming angel he usually was either. No. He was angry. He was furious. He was heartbroken. He had failed to protect yet another close friend from falling into the depths of darkness thanks to those bastards...
And he had only himself to blame.
Reaching forward, he wrapped one of his own arms around the back of the demon's neck. "We are going to make sure that they die together, Signor. Do not think that you are the only one that has a score to settle with them."
After all... Joseph had a way of wrapping himself into someone's soul. And it seemed as though he had definitely done that to both the Italian and the demon.
And they were both out for blood.
