{Neo}
His fists clutched themselves in anger. Of course they would go and just blow him off like that. When did they not, especially Cinder who always acted like the big boss on campus. Then again, she was Salem's right hand woman, but all the same, her pompous attitude was starting to get irritating.
Cinder and the rest of them left. Thoughts carried themselves through his soul constantly, his heart unsure as to where he needed to go. He needed to make sure Neo was safe, that Cinder would make good on her promise to protect her, but at the same time...
With this new 'ally' of theirs, he couldn't see this ending well. He couldn't imagine everything working properly in their favors. From what he had seen of the nightmare man, he was one of those who would throw away any of the pawns that were no longer useful, trash anyone that would dare to get into his way!
That being stated.. he wasn't that keen on remaining involved with them. What if something was done that he didn't approve of? He could have easily hurt Neo.. Hurt the only person he cared about in this cold, cruel world.
No. This was the time for them to step up and making their own ways on their own, the way it should be. The way it always had been before they had shown up.
Walking over to his tri-colored locked friend, he shook his head slightly, even the eyeliner highlighting his eyes not being able to hide the bags of sleep that he had retrieved when he first learned that there had been some... new additions... to their staff.
"Neo?" he stated, crossing his arms. "We're leaving."

Polyxena Einar
Polyxena Einar Neo had only just made it back, after a several days long mission that had taken her out of Vale itself, to prepare for the location transfer. She hadn't particularly appreciated being out of Vale for so long; but it was for Roman. At the moment, Neo was looking forward to finding out just who their new accomplices were; the challenges of this partnership Roman had formed were increasingly interesting to her.
After all, you never knew just what Cinder was going to do next...
It seemed, Neo noticed as she arrived, that she had only just missed Cinder and the others. A little bit disappointing - she'd been looking forward to finding out more about this mysterious person, but at least Roman was here!
Neo turned, spotting the orange-haired man approaching her, and gave him a smile. But then...she noticed things weren't alright with her long-time friend, and her smile disappeared. He looked like he hadn't been sleeping...and like he'd been spending a lot of time worrying.
His words only further punctuated her concern.
But, if Roman said they needed to leave - Neo would take him at his word. She grabbed her umbrella, and stepped closer to him. Her fingers moving discretely - her version of a whisper - she asked him what was going on.

Roman Caseinpoint Torchwick
Roman Caseinpoint Torchwick Roman waited to ensure everyone was out of the way. Once they were, he shook his head once again towards Neo, his fingers crossing in the sign that there were more words that needed to be stated than he felt comfortable saying here in the present time. Besides, she had just came back from a mission that had would have made her extremely busy, as well as to Roman's little outburst.
"We will go and pinch a little bit of icecream, Neo," he stated, mentioning the girl's treat, his emerald orbs seeming to pierce into her very soul, words that basically said 'we aren't do this anymore' etched into them.
He had been worrying, he had been stressed, and most of that related to her - not that he would ever tell her such a thing in worry that she would take it the wrong way.
"After all, I know how much you deserve it after your long mission." Give her something to look forward too, something to breathe about.. and still give him the chance to talk to her a bit more cautiously and openly than here.
Offering her his hand, he gave her a smile - a smile that wasn't like the kind he gave around Cinder - forced and stretched. A smile that wasn't like the kind he gave to Little Red - rash and conceited. Instead, Neo's was a special smile.. one filled with nothing but the most genuine of emotions.
After all, she was his one, precious ideal. She was the one thing he could never lose.

Polyxena Einar
Polyxena Einar A small, worried frown crossed Neo's lips even more at Roman's behavior, but she nodded briskly in reply to his decision. He was her friend; and if he wasn't comfortable discussing it here, then she could wait until they were...somewhere else. But still, in the meantime...she was worried.
Roman wasn't acting quite like himself, like how he had been lately. She was a little bit relieved - but at the same time, it was concerning.
Then he mentioned something that almost never failed to cheer the short young woman up, and a smile crossed her lips. Ice cream? Really?
Nevermind the fact that there would be some serious conversation once they were away from here - ice cream would be wonderful after a long mission like that one. She wouldn't even disagree with him about deserving it -- all she'd been doing was helping get things ready, after all.
Neo smiled back up at Roman, taking his hand in hers. She was always glad that this smile of his was for her only. It was the one thing she knew he shared with no one else in this world. That smile of his, more so than anything else, made her feel special. Loved. Like she had a place. And she did, with Roman.
She gave him an okay gesture, and gave his hand a squeeze. They were the inseparable team of Roman and Neo - they could handle anything life threw their way.

Roman Caseinpoint Torchwick
Roman Caseinpoint Torchwick Roman could tell that she was concerned and in all honesty, he hated being the reason why that frown crossed her features, why that little hint of worry seemed to flitter across her mind. There wasn't much he could do about what he was going to be telling her later on, but he definitely could explain to her the other situations surrounding everything - once they were out of the place where Cinder's eyes and ears were always lurking.
Trying to distract her with minor chit chat about various things - purposefully avoiding any conversation about anything dealing with their operations or the White Fang in general - he walked along with her, squeezing the hand that was held in his.
The comfort that surged from having her with him again filled his heart, causing him to close eyes of emerald as he proudly walked with her by his side. Neo was everything to him, and her being away had definitely put him in more disrest than he already had been.
What if the monstrosity that he had seen enter their realm had already gotten to her? What if she was injured during her mission although it wasn't supposed to be something too terribly difficult? There were too many things that could have happened that Roman wouldn't have been there to protect her from...
After all, ever since they were youths on the street, he always swore that he would be there. Always promised that no matter what may occur that he would be that constant in her life that would never disappear..
Things were striking too close to home now, however, and it was something he couldn't bare to think about. Cinder had lied to him; she wasn't going to create a world Neo would be able to be at peace in - she was going to create a world that she could control. There was a humongous difference between the two, and Roman wasn't going to stand for it any longer.
Turning them into the shoppe that Neo adored more than any of the others, Roman led her to one of the back tables, far away from any of the other patrons.
"Are we getting the usual today?" he asks her, a slight smile on his features.

Polyxena Einar
Polyxena Einar Neo continued on with Roman without further protest, and keeping his hand held. She did not squeeze his hand; rather, she held it firmly. Without using gestures, it was all she could do to tell him that she had confidence in whatever scheme he had wrapped them up in to.
She was glad to be home against with him, no matter what this meant for them. If it meant all of the hard work she had put in was going to be cast aside? So be it. Roman's choices were her choices -- she had long since accepted and convinced herself of that simple fact.
He was her everything, just as much as she was his. She would do whatever he needed her to.
When Roman walked them toward her favorite shop, her hand on his tightened. They rarely actually came to this shop. Oftentimes when it did, it was because there was bad news. Or at least, that was how it felt to Neo.
But she followed him in anyway, and slide into her chair with the ease of someone who knew well enough what her Roman was about to do. She flashed him a grin, and a tilt of the head.
Did he even need to ask?
Neo waits long enough for him to go get the usual, before she starts pestering him with questions again. She even manages to wait long enough for him to sit down!
But once he's settled, her hands move in her quiet, small, whisper gestures.
"What's going on, Roman?"

Ōku Nomoji
Ōku Nomoji Roman gathered the ice cream that he knew she and he would want, walking over to her with the goodies in his hands. It did seem that the main time he came here with her was when there was bad news. After all, this was the place he had brought her when he told her that he had signed a contract with Cinder. The place when he told her that he was going to be a scapegoat and get captured by the General Ironwood. The place where he was about to tell her of a severe incident that made it impertinent that they left as soon as possible.
He sighed softly, placing her ice cream in front of him. At least she had managed to wait long enough for him to gather his thoughts; if she would have bombarded him within an instant, he probably wouldn't have been able to be as calm or discreet.
Seeing the little signs from her, he breathed in, leaning back in his chair. He took another bite of ice cream, just enough to manage to buy him a few more moments, before speaking.
"... We're leaving, Neo. I never trusted them to begin with, but the agreement we had reached..." Of course, she wouldn't know what that agreement was; he never told her why he had signed onto the job to begin with, after all.
"Well, the demands on their side, I feel, cannot be met. As is such with criminals and partnership, the time has come for us to break apart from them."
Emerald eyes gleamed a bit, definitely showing there was more to the story. That being stated, he was holding that information in as a means as to not alarm Neo; after all, she had been under enough duress as it was.
"We will spend another week with them, Neo. Gather up all the information that we can. After that week, we leave. Perhaps give a little bit of it to Little Red in return for her saving you that day; other than that..."
They would be done with Vale for good.
