{Raven Branwen}
Team STRQ; one of the most notorious in the history of Beacon Academy. Known for their lackadaisical antics, their hidden leader, and essentially, the two Branwen Twins. Everyone was always powerful, adept, and ready for battle, though their grades didn't necessarily reflect that. How could they, when it seemed all that seemed to come their way were trouble?
At first, TaiYang didn't like Raven. At all. She was steadfast, so true to herself, and at the same time, constantly brought up issues with he and Summer for having not become partners with each other so the two Branwens could have made their own partnership. It was annoying.
'Tai, you are doing this wrong. Tai, stop doing this.'
Nag, nag, nag. That was all he would ever hear. It was stressful, it was incessant, it was... It was all in all the most horrific thing he had ever had to go through. The bad part was that he knew he deserved it. TaiYang was the playboy of the group, the person who wanted nothing more than to flop back, relax, and have a good time. School work? Forget it. Training? Sure, if it got him the hotties.
It was a world that seemed to revolve around him, a world that he didn't want to lose, a world that he was too afraid to have taken away from him. Little did he know that slowly, but surely, he was beginning to fall for Raven Branwen.
When did he figure that out? Simple.
During a raid that the Team had disappeared out on in the deepest far reaches of the Northern Kingdoms, the two groups had gotten separated during an earthquake which shook the entire city to the core. From there, well, other events transpired which ended up having Raven blame everything on Tai and the Dragon storming off in a fit of rage..
When he had finally cooled down, he had turned around to apologize, spotting her trapped and cornered by many Grimm. In that brief moment, he wondered what would happen if he lost her, if that life that he held so dear was no longer there. He never knew that he loved her - but the moment he almost lost her was the second that he had realized it.
"RAVEN!"
Heading face first into the brawl, not even attempting to back away from the fight, he helped to suppress the demonic monsters that had forced themselves around her, his punches aimed for wherever he could rip them to pieces. It was on that day that Raven had also gained respect for him... and while she still nagged - didn't quite so much.
Now, here they were, years later, already graduated from Beacon and starting up a little family all of their own.. He smiled as he gazed at her, looking at the ebony locks that spread out like a raven's feathers that adorned her crown regally, the way she stood, the way her katana flashed...
She was truly majestic, and he was so proud to be able to call her his own.
"Raven?"
A worried glance crossed his features as he looked at the woman, noting that something didn't seem to look quite right. "Raven, what is it?"

Polyxena Einar
Polyxena Einar Raven had started out trying to care about her grades. She’d tried to make an effort, tried to show her teachers her very best work. The first couple of weeks after they’d been paired up, she’d even managed to succeed a little. Those first weeks were perfect…except for one massive, gaping problem.
TaiYang.
Out of everyone, why did she have to be paired with HIM!? He was disgustingly flirtatious with pretty much anything that moved – with few notable exceptions, herself included…after the first time. He made no effort to do his homework, only trained if there were cute girls watching…it was frustrating, to say the least.
She nagged him ceaselessly; he needed it, after all. Clearly he’d never been taught the value of hard work, the value of doing your best, the value of working your hardest…and so she nagged him. Because what else was she going to do? He needed to be made see that what he was doing wasn’t working. It wasn’t earning him respect – it was only teaching everyone around him he was lazy, incompetent, and a waste of space.
There were days she probably had even used those exact words, to his face. And then there were the days where she simply flat-out ignored him, choosing to give him the cold shoulder instead of dealing with his childish behavior, and pathetic antics.
In fact, there were days where she flat out despised him.
Raven had always been straightforward with how she felt about things – something that had caused many problems between herself, her twin brother, Summer, and TaiYang. So she made no attempt to even hide those days when they came. In more than one instance, she almost came to blows with TaiYang. And if Qrow hadn’t been there, it was almost certain that things would have become that dire.
Fortunately for them all, Qrow knew very well how to diffuse a ticking timebomb like Raven when she was in one of her moods. Unfortunately, he had to do so often, that first year of Team STRQ being partnered together.
That day, when she and TaiYang had found themselves separated from the others following an earthquake had shook her up. She had no idea if Summer and Qrow were okay – other than what their scrolls said, and those *could* be wrong – and to make matters worse, if TaiYang hadn’t shoved her in the direction he had, they would still be with her teammates!
Her concern and anxiety bubbled to the surface, and she took it out on TaiYang. She blamed him for it all, for everything that had happened.
And worse yet, a part of her was…saddened, when he stormed off.
But she hadn’t let herself think on it, and had continued searching for a way to get back to the other side of the city, where she was sure Summer and Qrow must be. She hadn’t noticed right away the Grimm closing in on her.
The first one had come too close – she had noticed it, just barely in time. Just time enough to draw her katana, and deflect the worst of its attack. Her pain had drawn the others in, a delicacy they wouldn’t deny, and for a moment Raven had felt panic…
And that was when TaiYang had reappeared. He saved her life that day; she had never seen him fight so seriously, take a battle so determinedly. After that, she eased up on him, realizing she’d never taken him seriously. Realizing her feelings went deeper for him than she’d ever admitted before.
The time since that day almost seemed to have blurred past – but Raven could recall every special moment together. Their first kiss, and every one since. The times they spent entertwined. The time they admitted to one another, out loud, that they loved one another. The day he suggested they get married.
When they found out she was pregnant.
And now, the thought of raising their child together was all Raven could possibly hope for. So of course it would be the very thing, the very desire that would be taken away from her.
Raven looked up from her scroll at TaiYang’s words, her crimson eyes even darker than usual. “It’s nothing.” Both her lying eyes, and her lying voice. Poorly done, Raven. “Don’t worry about it, Tai.”
She couldn’t tell him. How could she? This was too much of Ozpin to ask; too much a load for her to bear by herself. And yet, she knew it had to be this way. There was no other choice, no one better suited for the task.
Still, she felt her hopes and dreams shattering.
If things went poorly, she would never get to watch her child grow up. She would likely never get to see TaiYang again. She might never get to be a part of their family, once the baby was born.
And it was breaking her heart.
