{{ Pyrrha Nikos }}
A new home, possibly a new life. That was what Jaune wanted; to be away from everyone and try to move past the events that had occurred at Beacon Academy. To mourn the loss of his friends, to try to figure out everything that had ended up happening within the blink of an eye. It was stressful, it was torture...
As much as he loved seeing Nora and Ren, his other two surviving teammates, it was all he could do to not want to scream and yell when he noticed the best friends together, happy and joyful in their lives. Why was it that it was Jaune, the lovable idiot, that had to lose the one and only person that had ever truly seen him for him? Who had ever had the pride in calling them theirs... who had ever had faith in him?
His blue eyes turned towards the headpiece that was on top of the mantle. He could remember when Qrow had went back to return it to him, brought it down from the ruins of the Academy that was now constantly crawling with Grimm. Jaune had no idea how it happened, but he was glad that the Hunter had brought it back to him. If nothing else, it was a part of Pyrrha - at least not all of her had disappeared when she had... When she had...
Shaking his head of the tears that threatened to pour out of his eyes, the former Hunter-in-Training walked over to pick up the headpiece, polishing it the best he could. He had to keep it as shiny as possible; maybe it would be like a lamp, and bring back the woman that he had allowed to fall. He knew it would never happen... but a fool could hope, right?
The pictures. The memories. Everything about her seemed to flicker in and out of his thoughts. The kiss they shared. The times they fault. The times he was Cardin's dog and Pyrrha tried to stand up for him. When he danced with her in a dress due to a bet he lost... All of the memories flooded through him. Every day, they came back, more and more vivid with the pleasure and joy they held.. and then in just one single movement of breathing, and his entire world went dark again. She was truly the light of his world, and now it was snuffed out.
All he had now was anger. Anger towards those who killed her. Hatred towards himself for not saving her. Sorrow that she had to disappear. There was nothing else for him, not anymore. But despite that, he was still a leader. He was still someone the others needed to stand strong. Besides... Pyrrha wouldn't like it if he disappeared to join her. He could imagine her voice now...
-----
Crash! The sounds of the tree that had fallen jerked Jaune to his senses. It seemed he had fallen asleep in front of the fireplace, yet again, and it seemed as though a slight breeze was starting to race through the tiny cottage that he had kept himself secluded in.
"Really? Can today not get any worse?" he stated to no one in particular, looking down as he stood up. His blonde locks were already drenched the second he went outside, his blue orbs attempting to figure out what exactly was going on in the surrounding area. At least something was going well for him - a brilliant flash of lightning lit up the sky, forcing the darkness to subside for only a moment.
And that was when he noticed someone. Someone that he thought was someone else. Someone that he knew would never be there.
Shaking off the feeling of knowing her, the Hunter immediately grabbed his weapons, in case there were any Grimm, and raced towards where the fallen woman had collapsed. It seemed she was hurt, in pain. He didn't dare to look at her face, though even the armor looked the same. None of this could be right...
Pyrrha was /dead/ She was /GONE/ Ruby had watched her disappear!
He was about to turn around and leave the false being, but he couldn't. Once again, his kindness was his greatest fault, his heart was his largest flaw. If he turned around and left her... she would die.
If this was a trap.. he was going to fall straight into it. Even if it wasn't his Pyrrha.. he couldn't leave an innocent soul out here to be hurt.
Making up his mind, Jaune went foward to gather the woman in his arms, and carry her back towards his home.
---------
Finally, they arrived to where they needed to go. Moving her over to his bed so she could rest in peace, Jaune looked over several of her wounds, acknowledging where the dents in her armor had ended up causing her more issues. Deciding that freeing her from it would be the best option, he began to undress the unregistering woman, placing her in his favorite onesie to help keep her warm.
Going towards the kitchen, he pulled out the ingredients to make a hearty soup, at least something to try to get some kind of nutrients in her body, and to grab some water to send down her throat.
"Hey, you.. need to eat, you know?" he stated, gently laying his hand on the woman's head. "Come on. Wake up, if only for a few moments to eat."

Polyxena Einar
Polyxena Einar It was all still so fresh in her memory. It had only just happened, after all.
The attempt to transfer the Autumn Maiden's aura to her had failed. In the middle of the transfer, in the middle of the worst pain of her life, Cinder's arrow had pierced Amber's heart. The connection had broken instantly, and what remained of the woman's power had transferred to Cinder.
But what she'd had not the chance to tell Ozpin, to tell Jaune, was that some of the woman's power had made it to her. Pyrrha could feel it merge with her aura, change.
Become something....different.
There had been no time to think about the changes; no time to process, or communicate them.
Oz had told them to leave, to get out. That the tower must not fall. They needed to get Glynda, Ironwood, and Qrow.
Pyrrha knew what needed to be done.
"I'm sorry, Jaune!" She cried, as she sent him off in one of the lockers. It was up to him now, to let the others know.
To send help.
Pyrrha knew she was going to her death. She could feel it, in her very soul.
Even so, she stepped into the elevator with little hesitation, and summoned her abilities to thrust the elevator to the top of the tower, just in time.
Their fight was short, truly. Short, and fierce.
Pyrrha knew it was over when the arrow pierced her ankle. Those arrows - they weren't normal arrows. There was something...not right about them. Even so, she desperately broke off the shaft. And yet, her spear and shield were so far away...
"Do you believe in destiny?" She remembered asking. And then all she knew was the feeling of an arrow piercing her chest. Ruby was there; Ruby had seen it.
And then all Pyrrha knew was the feeling of falling. It seemed like it would never end.
So when it did, with a sudden, painful crash...she was all too willing to let unconsciousness claim her at last.
How long she was unconscious for she didn't know, but when she managed to get a small grasp upon it, emerald eyes focused upon a familiar face. A small smile came to her lips. "Jaune," the warrior whispered with a sigh.
He wanted - needed? - her to do something. But she was so tired...

Ōku Nomoji
Ōku Nomoji The emerald eyes opened and it was the most majestic thing he had ever saw. After all, those orbs were those that he had stared into after they had kissed, the ones that he had noticed flickering when they had been in classes together.. The ones that he had grown to trust throughout all their time at Beacon.
He couldn't believe it was her; it had to be some kind of a trick, a trap... but the fact that she even knew his name...
"Pyrrha?" he asked softly, his blue eyes widening in shock. "H-How? I--" Without a second's thought, he moved closer to her, slowly climbing on the other side of the bed to pull her into a gentle hug, trying to be as ginger as possible as to not cause her more pain than she was in.
"... Pyrrha..."
The name tasted sweet upon his lips; after all, it had been so long since he had ever been able to speak of her name without dreading everything that went along with it. It made him joyful, happy.. so happy that she was here with him, even if it was only a dream.
"... You're in my new house," he stated softly. "I... a lot happened."
This was really his Pyrrha. He could already sense that, knew it to be true. With every shaky breath she took, every single tear that wet his shirt, everything about her was nothing but Pyrrha.
He hugged her tighter, keeping her as safe as he possibly could.
"You escaped, Pyrrha.. You're safe with me, now. And I'm never letting you go. Not again. "
How long had it been since he last held her in his arms? How long had it been since he was able to see that beautiful face glow?
Regardless.. It was something that hurt him at the same time.. How could she have returned after so long? Hadn't she abandoned them? Left them for her own death?
"... Pyrrha. You need to eat," he whispered again, once again showing the food to her. "Come on; I have to make sure you are okay, you know?"

Polyxena Einar
Polyxena Einar The longer Pyrrha stared up at her Jaune’s face, the more she realized that something had happened. This was not Beacon; she’d never seen such a place within their Academy’s borders, before. What little she could see of it, at least. Jaune seemed in shock; why? Had it been that long since consciousness had claimed her?
The wounded huntress in training muffled the sounds of protests that rose unbidden from her when he climbed in next to her, to pull her into that gentle embrace. It hurt to move; to be moved.
She felt greatly weakened in the aftermath so soon after (she assumed) her battle with Cinder. Had the battle really spent her that much? Then the thought of the arrow striking her reentered her mind, and her eyes widened. “Jaune..” How she loved to say his name. “How am I alive?” Her green eyes focused on his blue, intent in their observation of him. “She shot me—I felt the arrow strike—“
In fact, she could still feel it – as if the arrow were still there, and the only thing that bound her to this world. But she knew that couldn’t be the case. It was Jaune; Jaune was the reason she was still here, she was convinced of it.
“Your new house?” She questioned, her eyebrows furrowing. Why had he moved? What about their teammates? “Tell me everything.” She needed to know – if things had changed, then what? And how? She needed to heal quickly; strides needed to be taken to put an end to Cinder’s evil plans.
With Jaune’s help, Pyrrha sat up slowly; carefully. The effort of it alone left her weak and shaking. Like it had been months since the last time her body had taken such action. Add in with that her injuries, and.. Sitting up was a painful endeavor indeed.
Pyrrha tried very hard not to let her pain show, however. Every inch of Jaune’s face spoke of worry, concern, and fear. She didn’t want to add any further to his concerns. Little did she know she was the source for many of them.
“Escaped? Jaune—I failed…” Her voice shook, and she felt tears building in her eyes. “I failed, I couldn’t stop her…”
Her body protested the effort, protested moving in such a manner, but somehow the warrior found herself with her face pressed into Jaune’s shoulder as she shuddered with tears and memory.
It was all still so fresh for her. The wounds she had received still ached painfully.
And then her Jaune was speaking, urging her to eat. Pyrrha shook her head against his shoulder. “I’m not hungry, Jaune,” she whispered. “I can’t-- I’m not hungry.” If anything, she felt sick to her stomach, like she was about to get ill even if she didn’t try to eat.
And she’s still so tired. “I fell for so long,” the warrior murmurs against her beloved Jaune’s shirt. Her forehead should be noticeably warm to the blond leader of Team JNPR. “So long, Jaune. I’m so tired.” She could eat when she woke up again next, couldn’t she?
“Oh Jaune..” She shuddered again, feverishly, as memory of her failure began to reenter her mind. Ozpin had told them to run, to get help. Pyrrha had sent Jaune to do that for her. And still she had failed. She hadn’t been able to stop Cinder. What good was she to anyone, then?
The redhaired warrior pulled away from him, glassy emerald eyes peering into his. "I failed, Jaune, I couldn't stop her." She's repeating herself now; that's probably not a good sign.
