In the world of Remnant, there are many stories. Stories of power. History. Stories that tell the tales of the past, and even stories that tell of myths that were, in fact, extremely true.
One such story was The Story of the Seasons, a fairy tale that was passed down through the cultures of Remnant..
A story was told that an old hermit was visited by four sisters, each who were kind to him in their own ways. The first understood his solitude and encouraged him to meditate and reflect on the world around him. The second sister brough him fruit and flowers and revitalized his garden. The third convinced him to step outside and embrace the world, and the fourth... by encouraging him to be thankful for all that he has. The old man was thankful towards the sisters, and in gratitude, granted the four sisters extreme powers in return for their kindness, and with the power of the Four Seasons, went through Remnant spreading their gifts for the remainder of the world to behold.
It was a wonderful story, one that many would use to send their children to have wonderful dreams during their peaceful slumbers, or a tale told to help grant energy and revitalize those around who were beginning to lose all hope..
No one would ever had suspected those words to be true.
----
Beacon was in a state of rest; leaving Professor Goodwitch in charge, the Headmaster headed out towards the Northern Lands to seek out a specific woman. Ozpin and a small group of trusted partners had been given the duty of protecting the Maidens, powerful women that had the powers of the Seasons.. After all, their states had been slowly disolved into nothing but history and fantasy, a myth that none would be able to believe.. save for that small group who kept their eyes and ears out in order to keep them safe from all harm.
The previous Maiden of the Fall had died, not too long before, and as was such, it was time for the younger Headmaster to be able to find her, and give her a small chat about the powers that she held, and about the organization that was there to protect her for the remainder of days.
Finally arriving in the area that he had found the woman to be, Ozpin turned hues of hazel towards the small country below him, spotting the farm where he knew she would live. It would make sense that the Maiden of Fall would live in such a place.
Small smile covering his features, the man will head down to where he needed to be, cloak surrounding him in colors of Emerald.

ᕫᔕᑌᖇᕿᕨᖱ ᑭᘎᘺᕦᖆ Growing up; the newly deemed Fall Maiden had always been a lover of fairy tales. Tales told from mother-to-daughter. Tales told from one person to another. The young girl couldn't deny that she'd never believed much of the tales, she was too much of a realist to believe such fables however the recent events had certainly shook the girl up.
The story of the Seasonal Maidens were no mystery to Amber, the story of how four young Maidens had aided an old hermit or 'wizard' in some cases. And because of their gracious and kind acts, they were all granted 'magical powers'. Those powers were granted to the Maidens so they could spread their kindness with everyone in the world of Remnant.
Such a peaceful and genuinely warmhearted story had somehow managed to reach the ears of most of the youth that surrounded Remnant. No matter which Kingdom you originated from; Vale, Vacuo, Mistral or Atlas, most of the people you asked would be able to tell the tale from memory alone. Amber was no exception to that.
Originating from such humble beginnings, Amber had often dismissed the thought of the legend being true. Until the one day that she would take the place of the Maiden of Fall.
Never in her wildest dreams would she have thought a simple country girl, such as herself, would grow to become such a virtuous and charitable role model. It would have been unheard of. She was brought up to groom horses and gather crops; not to travel across the Kingdoms and spreading good cheer as well as helping others. A humble farm-raised girl couldn't become something as rare as a Seasonal Maiden. At least she had thought.
So just like always, she would resume her daily routines of tending to crops and doing various tasks in the stables. Becoming a Maiden was the least of her worries at that current time. Sure, it may have been a big deal. So much was to be expected of her yet the young female wouldn't let none of it pressure her too much, she barely knew what her powers even were so what use were they to her? It wasn't like they were able to scare away crows to stop them eating the wheat that grew in the fields.
Just like her usual day, Amber would continue to live her life. Uneventful, until she finally got the courage to try and use her powers for the good of Remnant. She could have asked one of the citizens in her village, however she dismissed the idea. It wouldn't be very wise if everyone thought she was crazy.
A small, dreamy sigh passed through her lips as she imagined the story of the Maidens once more; and what she /could/ possess. If only she actually had an idea of what to do with her newfound power.
